  1. Once I started taking plays wider and slowing down when I realized there was no goal threat I swear I got 10x more consistent. I already had air play and recoveries/movement down but I noticed I was always trying to play way faster than I needed to and it was really hurting me.

  2. Nah even at C2 in 3v3, if you fake out your team like this and just let it bounce, they either assume you whiff, cut you off and double commit you, or they get pissed and spam great pass as the opponent proceeds to ball chase then their second man gets a free shot from the pass

  3. Too often, defenders will hit the ball in this position and actually put it into a better position for the attackers to hit it. They actually do that in this clip.

The hardest places to score from are corners, and then down the left and right lanes, because the goal is "smaller" from these positions. So when you are defending, the best way to move the ball safely down the field is to push it along those left and right lanes.

  4. I seriously hate being a 2015 og player and FINALLY hearing these things in these shorts that I've been doing and my teammates get mad at me or break rotation through because they just don't know. I seriously miss my high MMR. But I love my buddies! Whew.

  5. Well yeah, of course. Half of my scoring strategy is putting the ball into an opponent's corner over and over until they make a mistake rushing in on something because they're desperate to get the ball out of their corner. Unless things are moving at full speed, and even sometimes when they are, it's a calculating patience-game. Let us be realistic. Even the best players in the world can't do literally whatever shot they want at any time in-game. They need to wait for the right moment. So do you and I, even more than they do. The better you are, the more possible moments appear. If the other team has two, or even three people all trying to put passes in front of the goal and swoop in for a quick strike, make them earn that strike chance. If you leave your defensive position, you've created a hole, even if only very temporarily, and they're all right there to punish you if you mess up, so be sure when you go out for a ball, that you either really need to, or the opportunity to strike is more detrimental to miss than not. Of course, easier said than done, but having the mindset going in helps a ton on it's own.

  6. Second one of those "apparently jack" shorts and it finally clicked.

I was wondering why jack apparently decided to teach things to people in coaching sessions and everybody was surprised, always going "apprently jack taught this, apparently jack taught that."

Now i feel stupid because his username is "apparently jack", and i've known that name for a while…
