i think this extansion could be good but i'm not willing to drop the money to test it and we're gonna see the dept of it when they actually release the whole content (class balance/ pve raid composition / pvp meta teams) , my main issues with past released was mainly the fact that my classes were not always viable forcing to play something i don't want to if i want to do challenging content
Yeah Expansion looks nice and fun. For now. Can't say anything about Shadowlands, but does anyone remember WOD? At the beginning it was super fun and we all know how it ended.
5:04 it's not just the bosses that have some issues. As a tank I feel like a lot of the trash feels very cheap and unrewarding this expansion. They added a lot of trash that attacks party members even if you have aggro. It makes pulls very annoying, because they expect damage dealers to go LoS for mass pulls. The reason why they did that is to increase the damage on the group so healers have more to heal. In past expansions they added DoT mechanics or debuffs to keep the party busy. This expansion the trash just focuses some players with auto attacks and a lot of them are immune to crowd control, which leads to taking away responsibility from tanks and increasing the responsibility of healers while adding nothing interesting for damage dealers or tanks. It feels just too artifical and boring. The idea of increasing unavoidable damage on the group is fine but the execution is so poorly done. Luckily all of the very bad dungeons aren't in the mythic + rotation of this season so they have more time to work on them.
Edit: An example of how annoying this is are the rock throwing adds in Uldaman, the spear throwing adds around the first boss in Nokhud Offensive or the fire mage adds in Ruby Life Pools after the first boss.
I feel like dungeons took a big L this expansion mainly because of how they deal with trash mobs. Let's hope that the older dungeons from MoP or WoD are better this season. They tested WoD dungeons in season 4 of Shadowlands and it was honestly a failed experiment. Iron Docks difficulty was too frontloaded and Grimrail Depot was just a nightmare for people with claustrophobia. I wish they would just entirely remake some of the pre Legion dungeons : /
I love Dragonflight (zones are the best they have ever made and dragon riding is a lot of fun) but so far dungeons are my biggest concern. I don't think that the first Mythic + season will be good compared to other first seasons. I hope the game proves me wrong and that they will change the dungeons. So far I would prefer having more older dungeons in the rotation than having the new dungeons.
My favorite standout feature is essentially a two-parter. It's gotta be Dragonriding and the zone design with how they both work together to not only make the zones more beautiful and appealing but also so much more fun to simply explore. I hope I never have to go back to "air-swimming" with the Burning Crusade version of flying.
Hard to narrow it down to just a single thing I think. All of it has just been working together quite nicely to make it an enjoyable experience. My first time through was good, but honestly I would say going through again with alts has been even better. Between having the fully upgraded drake right off the ship, to hitting renown 10 on my main giving my alts massive reputation boosts. And then also just having world quests from the start, being a good source of both XP and catch-up gear if those alts are coming in under-equipped.
I've not yet really done the zones out of order, though you have the option to!

That escort quest you can just go to the next camp and not walk with. 😀

Even if they get the base systems right, there isn't heart in WoW anymore. Soulless.

Do you guys not make the fashion fix anymore?
