If you stayed on v1.1.1 the rates of your chain continuing depending on what patch of grass you encountered based on the number of steps it was away from your starting position stay the same as shown in the guide.
If you updated to V1.1.2 then these odds for your chain continuing change slightly. But only effect the patches lower than 4 steps away.
1 step away 53% of continuing even if catching the Pokemon
2 steps away 63% even if catching the Pokemon
3 steps away 73% even if catching the Pokemon
4 steps away is 83% but the only one to still be boosted 10% if catching the Pokemon after the update.
So just try and always go to the patch 4 steps away and you will have the maximum chance of 93% as shown in the guide still even after updating your game to v1.1.3.

According to adrive the most optimal way to shiny hunt with pokeradar is going to a chain of 17, the chance of breaking your chain and time invested doesn’t make sense past 17. Just run around a little bit, but not too far or you will break your chain, to reset your pokeradar.

I just got a hidden ability patch and then immediately after I got a shiny patch without a chain do you now what the chance of that happening is?
Can you get up to chain 40 and just keep resetting the poke radar maintaining the 1/90 odds and hopefully find a shiny?

I got really frustrated earlier today because my togepi chain ended at 32… then when i was chaining floatzel for speed EV training (not even thinking about a shiny) i got a shiny patch on my 4th chain lol

not even able to reach 20th stream, until I watch this video…follow every step, and when this vid almost ends…I've reached 30 something…continue to 40, catch a shiny ditto, then continue the streak until it breaks on 75 sadly 🙁
AHHH!! after I check the 40th catch before the shiny one, pretty lucky to get 4 instead of 3 best IV 😃

For the dittos between 20,30,40 because the aren’t guaranteed high IV, does it also mean there is NO chance of them having high IV’s?

I feel like the 4 steps away matters even for the first initial chain. I just failed 15 in a row on chain 0 basically…
Quick question if you catch the hidden ability Pokémon does it increase your chance that the chain will break ?

Dittos catch rate is awful. 1 in 10 quick balls work and ive used no less than 8 repeat balls to catch them. Im doing this at night and dusk balls are about the same.

The video is great, but my Repeat and Quick ball catch rates are literal trash. I threw the 1 quick ball followed by 33 repeat balls on one regular 6th chain Ditto. Ball rates shouldn't be that bad considering how bad the chain rates are…
I got up to 16 kricitunes ( why are Pokemon names so hard to spell ) and broke my chain xd ( im on very 1.1.1 and I'm sure this was for 1.1.2 so I'm not surprised )
