Bruh, these takes from pros and SSL’s is so dumb. Mechanics have become so ingrained into their muscle memory that they don’t realize how much mechanical skill it takes to pull off things that they consider to be “not mechanical”.
You absolutely need to be able to aerial consistently and accurately, and you need to have strong ground game with good car control and dribbling if you want to get to SSL. High rank players need a reality check with what they consider to be “mechanical” plays.

I’ll play on Smurf accounts with some of my newer buddies and it still shocks me the number of plats that can kinda air dribble, double tap, ceiling shot, etc but literally can’t do anything else 😂

Really all you need to do up to higher diamond is sit at 3rd man, play good defense, watch everyone chase like idiots, and wait for an opportunity to shoot the ball over everyone’s head when they’re inevitably out of position 😂
