  1. this makes me appreciate Neutral Grounds and Magus Games magic shops in Cebu City, Philippines. Its free to play there and you can play any card games there since most coffee shops associated card games with gambling and dont let you play even if you pay for food and drinks :/

  2. I find it very interesting when dealing with MTG players for business. They always want the highest for their cards and want to pay the lowest for yours. Same with condition. theirs is always better.

  3. Open up a business pay rent / lease, utilities, salaries, then allow people to just come in for free and provide no revenue. Son has a LGS and his Magic customers refused to pay minimal to stay for hours. I so agree with all your videos on this topic

  4. Growing up I've seen this mentality in Yugioh and MTG players. I've seen it in a couple of other nerdy fandoms who try to do meetups at bowling alleys and have someone trying to just "hang out" instead of participating in the commerce of whatever business is hosting.
I used to want to run a game store but if I were to do it now, I'd probably do a cafe/restaurant/bar with gaming a theme and events

  5. It seems like people are antisocial they have a group they play with and that is it.Playing at your local game shop was fun u get to see different people u can play against. With people just playing commander now they will just get a group to play at someone else house.Even if u do get people to play at a store they don't really help pay the bills .Fun thing is the people that walk in and buy stuff they don't stick around and play they leave.

  6. How about people wanting you to have a tournament after hours $5.00 entry fee not worth the time if u get 8 to 10 people because u know they aren't going to spend at least 10.00 and that is even with entry fee.

  7. I think that "customers" that aren't buying something every time they go in should be charged an hourly fee to play. It's renting space. If it's renting a table for $5/hr, then you have 4 players, then each player is paying $1.25/hr to play. And considering I've been to stores where commander players are there before the tournament starts and are still playing when it's over, I think it's a perfectly reasonable price. Everything that goes into running a business adds up quick. One of the stores I frequent has an entirely separate room that you can rent out for $15 for the night, and it fits 8 people comfortably.
