  1. Awesome interview. Glad I saw this. I understand a few things now. I did the 1st horde mode & it's nuts. I made it to lvl 27 of 30 and my hands gave out (arthritis). Too painful at my age. I never would have survived that far without the slide & slow time features. I need more ammo for my shotty. I'm fine without ads except my muscle memory form the past 20+ years of gaming is not lol. I'm going for horde mode 2 next. I would love a coop but not multiplayer.

  2. This is the game that takes me back to the good old times we actually had actual games. And I love the explosive bouts of blood & guts animations and frenetic gunplay. Super PMCs getting shredded by a payload of dakker weaponry is like Bach to my ears.

  3. Excellent interview! Got right down to the meat without delay, and the devs seem really passionate, thoughtful and self-reflective. Loved the Trepang2 demo as well, the Doom2016 of FEAR reboots.

Okay with fantasy guns, fun over realism, that's what makes cloak, bullettime, and superpower melee & sliding, insane gibbing and effects the best!
(Is there an unlockable cheat for infinite toggleable cloak? Could be a fun option to work for if you liked it but felt it was too short by default — Checked, is in DEMO!)
No need for ADS, stick with FEAR/Doom2016 logic, fast-paced over slow slogs.
Looking forward to seeing what kind of interesting story campaign you create, hopefully not just 2 hours though, and horde mode, eehhh, okay.
Campaigns are always for me about variety, a rollercoaster ride that keeps you moving, I always feel a bit aimless and, well grindy, in skirmish or horde modes, the things the devs wanted to avoid in the campaign, but I think the entire design of a horde mode is that epitomized.
Hopefully they just keep in mind that the point of lengthening a campaign isn't to just stretch uniform environments/gameplay/atmosphere over a long period, but keeping things moving and throwing curveballs at the player, changing pace here and there, escalating and throwing you into even more striking situations.
(People still replay story campaigns of all kinds of FPS games, Half-Life, Halo, FEAR, retro FPS games don't quite count since they allow you to easily skip their story, but still people replay those same scripted missions decades later)
Not all players replay just horde modes.
