Those are wholesome moments, I had one like that too. Haven't heard from the guy for 2 years and found him in another MMO. That was over 10 years ago, we still chat from time to time.

I would totally get back into wow if I found a good group of people to play with. Low key miss the old days where guilds actually made a huge difference. New age wow kinda sucks now.

This actually happened to me in Classic aswell. I had played with a guy on a private server back in 2012-2013 and I recognized his name and I'd seen him in Orgrimmar a few times. Finally I messaged him and was like "yo, where do you play on insert private server*?" and he responded with "yah mate we used to be in *insert guild name together". We ended up leveling together through Outland and even into Karazhan. Ran into him a few months later back on our private server and we did ICC together lol.
