This happens a TON at c1 and c2 it's frustrating because people cherry pick too much and if you are last man back with ball and get challenged and lose that challenge or demoed it's a goal

Preferably, an alternative that i Learned recently is to go further up field. If your teammate is going for a dribble/air dribble, its only expected for the to slow down to control the ball, and This is the time to go upfield being in clear vision from your tm8s prespective on the attack/counter-attack. even add call outs like:
"in position" "On your left" "On your right" To make it obvious.

I literally go on the side whenever my tm8 has the ball bc I’d think he would pass it to me btw I’m champ
