God, whenever I see a video like this it makes me want to return to this game… really well made and definitely going to make a difference for how players practice and think about mechanics
So many GC2 players that need to watch this and stop going for mechanics every possession 😂, how about apply pressure and force some awkward touches with a 50/50 so we can score a regular shot
I’m so happy I was one of your first 200 subscribers I feel so cool Can’t wait for more videos You break things down in an easy to understand way Even as a plat I think I can get farther with this I too often try to air dribble (which I’m pretty decent at for a plat) when I know it’s the wrong thing I’m just not consistent enough for it to be viable Now I’m going to try to avoid all air dribbling until everything else stops working and anytime I do try one (like if I know it’s the right thing) I’ll be more attentive to my opponents than I assumed I was If nothing else, I’m happy I was wrong because you being right makes me feel like I can be better
This is genuinely one of the best videos I've ever seen addressing mechanics!! It's great to see someone finally placing the importance on mechanics as a tool for savvy plays as opposed to the other way around.
You wanna know how to get good mechanics? Literally play the game. The more hours you have doing a mechanic the better you’ll get, that’s why freestylers have thousands of hours
dude, this is exactly what i realised too. I dont go for fancy mechanics unless i know ill get away with it. and every mechanic i practice ive done so while looking either at the ball or somewhere else. Not my car. Awesome video, you put it into words greatly
I did peripherals training at my mechanical peak and it helped me immensely. However, not sure if this mentioned in the video but an extra tip is look at the ball, car, scan for boosts and sometimes try to avoid the worst possible scenario by predicting it, let us say you got a flip reset you can aim to score or you could on purpose to not score cause maybe you suspect it will be saved and get punished by a counter attack so utilize the threat of shooting and go for a bump/demo, fake, steal boost, force them to react to a weird shot, 50/50.
Damn I’ve actually worked on the peripheral thing and have never heard anyone talk about it. I guess it’s worth investing more time into. It’s especially obvious in 1v1
this was a great refresh for my mental in the game. most of this is or should be considered common sense, but it’s the little things. you point out the small things that a lot of people overlook constantly and all the “small” mistakes get turned into goals by the enemy team in higher ranks. thanks for the upload, this was needed.
Nice vid! Thanks for taking the time to make it. One suggestion: might be helpful to incorporate slo-mo when showing the step by step decision making parts. It’s a little less jarring when you have to stop-start each piece.
my problem is that im trying to learn how to be mechanical not the gamesense part of mechanics… like i have quite literaly no mechs other than dribbling and shooting – im missing flicks, air dribble somehow. Yet i can preflip the balls of any surface to speed the tempo up and am gc which comes in 90% from gamesense. Grinding mechanics for more than half a year yet stuck at same level of mech. And my mechanical level can screw me up so much that im literaly able to miss the easiest ball in air u could think of (like wtf is this)
Kawfee: explaining in depth about when to use mechanics
Me not listening and watching him hit triple flip resets: 👁️👄👁️
here before this dude gets big

honestly amazing amazing video, but i swear the end is tooo repetitive, when u were explaining the clips but idk i might js be stupid
Wow lol didn’t knew I needed this but now I know why I fell 400 mmr from my peak

You got some solid tips and vids hope you hit that 1k mark fast and blow past it 🙂

great video!
I had the same thoughts a few days ago, still no improvement, I really don't know what I'm doing wrong
Whats your camera settings?

yeah ive been learnign air dribbles recently but i havent really implimented them into my game in any shape or form
underrated
Settings?
I'm still just learning how to drive and look at other players.
keep on making videos. im actually loving these, especially the talking types of ones like the one about dark.
What are your camera settings? Nice to watch
Me watching even though I can't even air dribble or flick or anything. Lol
I hope more people see this. I hate when I get partnered with someone who treats a 2v2 compet as a 1v2 casual, and just practices mechanics
Most important skill in this game is uninstall > install
You earned a sub, great video!
Dude your move at 2:27 was wyld

I swear This is musty voice!! Broo
2:56 😐revers that for every thing up to diamond 3.. 80% of the time I'm playing a 1v3.
I agree with your opening statement
