  1. Qotd: am i into art? Yes, I am. Though fine art sales is all marketing and built on rich people hiding illegal money, I do love art, especially when the art has purpose, like protest art done by activists trying to make their voice heard. There's power behind that.

  2. QotD: I hate being that guy but I love art but hate the art industry. Basically what I mean I dont think any art is worth in the millions unless its going to artists who are still alive or the the recent family of the artist. So many pieces of "art" are only expensive because art "critics" trade pieces amongst them selves and artificially inflate prices. I love art done by people who are living and can actually profit off their own work. I mainly only enjoy art in visual form but not too abstract, like if you bring me somewhere with a contortionist crying for 2 hours, to me thats not art (an actual show I sat through like 15-20 min of before walking out). Plus art hides alot of history in seemingly innocous items. Generally old patterns meant something and told a story. And even when its just art for the sake of art you can still use it to convey meaning. But expecting it to be something you would pay millions of dollars for is kind of unfair. Mainly because most people are pragmatists who see a price and then judge the work, so if someone has the money to afford something it is worth what ever they will spend and the inverse. I dont think most art for regular every day people should go over like 1k then it goes up in price brackets. One of the things I love is just picking a random culture and looking through old patterns and art styles for them and then trying to fit just random topics into those art styles. If you want a slightly different perspective on art as compared to the high art scene I would recommend a channel called @DenUngeHerrHolm he does daily ink blot painting and gives a small commentary over them. Its a real interesting style and he puts all of his work under creative commons which means anyone is free to use them as they wish. One of my current favorite art styles is South African Grapfiti/mural art they have so many interesting pieces just done in random spots and get actually hired by local govt and etc and interesting thing to check out is the Soweto towers its an old nuclear powerplant which got a massive makeover and is now kind of a set piece for the town.

  3. QOTD: actual art not really museums and galleries would be fun to go too just to check out but it doesn’t love me either now movies i classify as art and those move me so i feel like just depends what kind of art for me. also that future floor is awesome it would be cool if it could entirely replace caves or depths but probably two floors of those little guys giving out brimstone would be op lmao

  4. Playing modded Isaac myself for arouns 450 hours, now that we have many more dlc sized mods the performance is dogshit.
    When you finish a run and it says 40 minutes, with the amount of lag from the crazy tear synergies and all the effects, you probably actually spent more like 50 irl minutes.
    What I would advise, and I talk from experience, you and the viewers would greatly benefit from increased framerate.
    Mods I recommend deleting: graphical retextures, only if they have a way higher resolution than base game;
    the new future floor, which actually triggers a shit ton of scripts everytime for the spawning of the npc and overall compatibility;
    Ipeccac community mod, mainly for that it adds too many items with poor mod-to-mod integration;
    Characters with no or little unlocks that you do not like playing with;
    Additional rooms mods, yeah the +500 rooms galore ones, there's enough already and it bloats the files.
    Basically you have to make a sacrifice : only take the most useful mods and then progressively add the little ones, pondering their impact on the performances.
    I did this a couple days ago and I'm enjoying the game again. There's also the new monstro's lung synergies and Caellum mods that were published recently.

  5. By the way: you can go through the screenwrap rooms! As you probably guessed, the secret room guy sells your items back to you. You can also bomb the little reroll dudes for soul hearts I believe
