45 Gedanken zu „The BEST Mechanics To Learn At YOUR Rank… ROCKET LEAGUE“
  1. The problem with flip resets is that most of the time you see that people want to set them up and can prevent it from happening.. Totally agree with you.. They are useless especially in 2v2 and 3v3.

  2. Redirects are one of the most useful and fun mechanics I can think of. They aren't that hard, either. Practice them, and you will be able to put the ball in the net from anywhere on the field after a pass. Not agree with luke at all on this one.

Also, I can't believe he is actually considering DAR and Speedflips essential mechanics to get to GC. Both are almost worthless mechanics. I got to GC2, and I didn't even bother learning those two.

  3. Luke i love your videos but I actually do not like how this video is made, I expected to learn which mechanic I have to learn in which rank but this video is just for low ranked players. At every mechanic you put in the low tiers you said it is not worth learning them IF YOU ARE UNDER GC. But I think there are many players that watch your videos who are gc to high gc and to them you dont really explain when and how to learn them. It just feels like you are ignoring them. I would love to see a video for high level mechanics for high GC and by that I mean how to use them in different situations and most importantly how to defend them.
    Keep up the good work!

  4. double taps and airdribbles i dont agree with. if we're talking about like diamond to like c2, airdribbles are going to be very useful. I don't think luke thought of the idea of faking the air dribble, where you basically do an air dribble, stop boosting to act like you ran out of boost, bait your opponent in, then start boosting again. For double taps, they're not that hard to learn and can be very useful in diamond and low champ

  5. You overrate speedflips MASSIVELY haha. Half of the things in the B tier, let alone A teir, will help you way more in games than speedflips. Speaking for high plat – low champ. Never used speedflips, never missed it, never lost against it,…just nah.

  6. The issue I have with this is that it doesn't really show a good approach to learn what when. A Plat shouldn't work on the same mechs a champ would. It's too vague and doesn't show much.

  7. I think you are not considering that is not the same practicing a mechanic and using it in ranked.

Practicing a mechanic that it is not that useful to rank up may give you an advantage on other aspects of the game. For example double taps are not an effective way to rank up because it is so easy to defend them from backboard. But practicing them you also practice control of your touches, reading the ball, and double touching in other circumstances (not scoring) is actually pretty good.
I myself practice flip resets as a warmup but actually almost never use them in game.

  8. To every player that's struggeling because of backflipping for an aerial, I reccomend to not fast aerial. I almost solo qued to c3 and I don't fast aerial properly. i double jump and turn my car quick so that I almost don't even notice the difference in speed compared to a fast aerial. I am now much more in control and consistent and can focus on the play more. I think that low ranked players overlook the importance of control and think that they need the speed to much when in reality, they can just double jump and be slightly slower and less boost efficient, but just so much more reliable and in control. (I also can't dribble, flick, bounce dribble, powerslide cut and im still having it easy in low c2) Also redirects are GREAT to practise. My car and ball control improved like crazy after some redirect practise so I really recommend it.

  9. Why put so much effort into talking about the worst mechanics to grind? You spend the first five minutes telling people not to learn flip resets and ceiling shots, and I just want to hear about what's good to learn. Worse, the list isn't even sorted so it's hard to skip to the useful content. This video is supposed to be about mechanics to learn.
