  1. To people saying they disagree and that passing is essential, I think you misunderstand his point. Passing can get you out of lower ranks but in around champ it’s easily stopped and countered especially since players aren’t mechanically consistent with passing and receiving passes. The game sense isn’t quite there either to know when you should and shouldn’t give/receive passes. When you get to GC (at least for me) you start to realize most of the time passing simply isn’t worth it except in specific situations where both players aren’t committing. Solo plays are an essential part of 2s rotation.

  2. can you do one on non-committal passes and/or when it is a good situation where its okay to pass in lower ranks? Personally, in diamond, me and my teammates usually have a hard time creating plays that get the ball in the net unless we pass to center, but I also get that this is risky because it can give possession to the opponents

  3. Nah, work on passing alongside the rest of your game. I'm not buying that there's a rank where rank-appropriate passes don't help. The actual skill to develop here is to learn which passing plays won't work, and especially when to bail on a pass that isn't good enough. Everyone ball-chasing until they have RLCS mechanics and then learning how to pass would just make the entire game a brain-dead slog.

  4. Any C2’s here tryna queue and go for some passing plays? They actually work if you and your tm8 expect them. The times they don’t is when u try to pass it mid and your tm8 is somehow still in your net (gives a booming shot to the defenders w ur tm8 in a awkward position)

  5. Being in control of the play is key. By passing you are literally flipping a coin hoping your TM will read it. Then if you lose you can just say "unlucky", and keep queing. If you start playing safe and consistent, at least you can lose and learn from your own mistakes.

I would say go for passes when they naturally come to you, but don't actively look for them.

  6. I have a question. So I’m currently champ 2 in threes, Diamond 2 in twos, and plat 2 in ones. For every teammate I lose, I go down an entire tier. I honestly can’t figure this out. I’ve googled it, and most people experience the exact opposite. They’re much better with LESS teammates. Does anyone have a potential explanation for this?

  7. Spook i got banned from your server for defending myself 😐 someome called me really horrible things like im a joke and i didnt get any attention from my parents as a kid and other things. However when i defended and called him a failed abortion(i know it was wrong) i got banned by your mod molly who knew very well that i was being bullied and used that excuse to ban me. I joined to improve. I really wanted to. Looks like your mod says abusing his power was the way to go.

  8. I play with my friend in plat 3 he’s plat 2 and passing has opened up our scoring opportunities heaps even if we can’t do it much. Keep in mind passing only works when you can both talk to each other.

  9. I would say its more important to make the passes Good and easy for your teammates. The glaring inconsistencies usually shows Up when they (and me) have to adjust too much to shoot xd remember, even pros miss perfect passes

  10. My idea of passing is intentionally getting the ball to your teammate. That doesn't necessarily mean hit it directly to them. Sometimes it just means put your opponents in a really tough situation and your teammate in an easy one.

  11. the teamate ive been playing with for 3 months after we graduated and i both pass and we are hard stuck plat, of course nothing elaborate or complicated but we do get the occasional team that doesnt challenge setups and we can have a good time…
but agreed. most of the time we do go for opens and shots before we think about passing unless one of us calls it so, ypu just need to practice alot with the right teammate

  12. At low ranks cherry picks and mid field passes even though they can work shouldn't be a thing lower ranks should always try.. its almost like having a kid at a teeball game try to throw the last out to 3rd, its unnecessary when there is a less risky play that's easier for the kids skill level..

  13. My friend didn't play for over a year and came back he is c1/c2 rn and i was gc last season. He keeps saying "if we just pass more we will easily get gc i don't get why you say otherwise". Buddy maybe because i got to gc and didn't focus on passing instead of basics.

  14. I’m c2/3 and i can say passing works if you do it right, back passes and passes off the backboard are so important that saying “don’t pass” just doesn’t make sense
