40 Gedanken zu „[SOLVED!] CS:GO won't launch, fix?“
  1. Going through the same thing myself at the mo.. playing yesterday for an hour, turned it off and browsed youtube; tried to play again a few hours later (no restarts, computer in same state as it was when I played earlier), and I get this exact same problem. I THINK WMI was trying to download updates (it is the only thing I can narrow it down to) which has interfered with the launch process. After multiple restarts with disk cleans and registry fixes in between, there was still no difference (yet no Windows Update messages :S), so I scanned my computer for malware/etc overnight. This morning, before trying anything, I've uninstalled CSGO and now re-installing before trying a few suggestions mentioned here and other places. My money's on it being something to do with WMI trying to download updates.

  2. I have the same issue but in my case the problem isn't that the game doesn't launch, it does, but it takes 1000000 years… and it isn't my PC because I've got a 8 core processor with 3.3GHz, a GTX 960, 12GB of RAM and the game is installed in a 250 GB SSD and the game was launching in less than a second a few days ago…

  3. if you've updated June/2016 and isn't working. Right click on the Game in Steam and go to Game Properties and "Set Launch Options" and write -windowed
It's a temporary fix but it works, and when the game launches, just go to the video settings and change to Full Screen again! I hope that helps you as helped me.

  8. I found a solution!!!

    1) Uninstall CSGO
    2) Reinstall it
    3) Go to your steam library > right click on CSGO > open properties > go to local files > verify integrity of game files.
    4) Open your anti-virus and add the CSGO folder to your exclusions list.
(In this case, I use avast, so what i had to do was: open avast > go to settings > click on general > scroll down and click on exclusions > click on file paths > click on add and add your CSGO folder, mine would be: D:SteamsteamappscommonCounter-Strike Global Offensive)
    5) Go to your steam library again and verify integrity of game files for the second time.
    6) Run CSGO.
