  1. Your pattern is not simplified…too hard to comprehend….cant you make easier for the steps?….it seems to us that you are the only one who can do all of this…I got the downloaded emulator and just need to activate in my laptop

  2. First I got your Ancestral Table cookbook, which I still make the chili twice a month. Now as I get back into retro gaming I find you have extremely helpful guides here. You are awesome!

  3. You make this look so easy yet I am having such a hard time because when I get to the "scan directory" part, its not showing me any files. I have a ton of BIO's and cores, and I believe I have everything I need on my computer but RetroArch isn't showing them. I hit a bit of a road block

  4. Whoa, this is unnecessary. 40 minutes to set this app up to be able to play one game is a bit much. It seems the only difference between RetroArch and other emulators is it's all of them in one but it's so complicated just to get one working that it doesn't make sense to even use this app when you can just use the emulator of choice without hours of set up and frustration. This app just seems highly impractical.

  5. Switched from Citra to this… and then I couldn't figure out how to change the resolution.
    F1 key.
I also don't know how to change they character name for games that have one. It's auto set to Citra.

  6. So now I’m having an issue seeing my files. I made a file deposit for all of my n64 games but retroarch does not detect that folder exists. Anyone know what to do. I’m on chromeos

  7. Thanks for the video. I'm new to this and got a question. I have a rom and want to rename it to organize my files but once I rename it, rom stopped working. Example; Game is Magician Lord, rom I got named it "maglord", tried to rename it to Magician Lord but stopped working. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

  8. Glad I finally got over your pronunciation of RetroArch as this was a great guide. Idk if you remember us talking about the correct pronunciation of RetroArch a while back when you could actually reply to comments easier cuz you didn't have so many subs back then. We probably went back and forth for about 10 comments. Lol

  9. Excellent video. IMO Retroarch is great because it allows you to play several platforms having access to thousands of games at your fingertips and best of all is free. I just can't understand why is so difficult to setup 2 controllers on different ports to play retro games with friends. Others such a lemuroid (free) and nes.emu allowed me to setup both of my 8bitdo pro 2 wired controllers with minimum effort. I'm new to the retro world but libretto's community seems to be wide enough but nobody has been able to provide me with a solution. BTW I'm using and Odin Pro with a Super Dock to emulate my games. You are the reason I ended up purchasing an Odin in the 1st place. Sorry for such a long comment just felt like venting out. 😅

  10. As of 07/2023, I am actively telling people to NOT use RetroArch for Android emulation. Controller configs constantly not saving on my AYN Odin was the final straw for me. Lemuroid is a far better AIO for emulation now.

  11. So I’m running retroarch on an android TV box. I’m having trouble with performance of N64 games. Lots of audio issues, slow motion, etc. I believe it has to do with the capability of my system. Any tips for settings I can make to improve this ? I have messed around with resolution but that’s about it. It helps but the games look terrible cause I have to use such a low resolution.
