Can't wait to start practicing this, thanks man for the video
Awesome video!
Thanks for this.
This really clicked for me in a way that many other videos didn't. Excellent work!
This is actually by far the best video on directional air roll. Keep up the insane work bro!
Thanks for this video! You really explain it better than all the other videos I've seen on this. If you decide to make more tutorials on other mechanics, I will look forward to watching every one of them!
Congrats you just gained another sub, Great work!
What a great video! Thanks for the tutorial, it really helps, can't wait to try it out!
Very good quality video! Great narration, sound and video footage. I need to get back to this video once I feel at least somewhat comfortable in the air to add a directional air roll to my controls.
Just subbed. If you have a better way to teach dribbling and could make a tutorial that would be fantastic.
What is that map at the beginning
When ever I go into free play and I press lb to air roll all it does is make the ball go into the net how do I fix that?
Great video, but maaan, I actually gotta skin a cat tomorrow for anatomy lmao. 7:25
Subbed. Excellent video. Waiting for the next video cause that’s what I’m working towards now
Thank you for the tips. Man, I don't know how you can go around the pitch with one input. My car always ends up hurling in one direction, and I've never been able to save it after 3 hours now (even just trying to keep it stable while attempting to go straight), haha. Should I be using my full brain power trying to pay attention to the hood, the boost position, both, or just simply doing it over and over and hoping my brain just magically gets it eventually? It's just irritating and I feel as though I'm not making any progress. I can keep giving it a go, but it all feels too ambitious.
What training pack were you using at 12:16 ?
Also great video super helpful!
Great tutorial, but I'd like to say that saying you were only using down and to the right can be a little misleading, you were using the down right quadrant to be exact and the minor differences of degrees you pull towards in that quadrant alone is important as it can be the difference between successfully orienting your car or failure. With that being said, your point still stays.
This looks like it's really going to help me finally click with air roll. Can't wait to start working on some of these drills. Thanks!
I appreciate the fact that this is one of the few videos I’ve seen that actually explains how to apply directional air roll in a practical way for real games rather than just doing hoop workshop maps. Thanks for the video
11:03 I'm silver 2 and I do this without thinking, I'm learning how to control my air rolls, and this video helps a lot, keep doing good videos.
That red subscribe button lookin clickable rn
what "clicked" for me:
1). Doing 1 input (push to top diagonal right)- every time my car was facing me in the upright position (hence you will move to the right)
2). Repeat the SAME input when your car is in the reverse position (not facing you)- and it will CORRECT to its original orientation or position
I just kept doing repetitions on this over & over again. This was huge for me as I realized i could do both directional air roll AND correctional air roll with ONLY ONE input!
I was able to do the rings map with just this 1 input alone. Felt like I had a super power! Now i'm adding the "other inputs" one by one (putting in the repetitions) until I am comfortable with'em until I achieve full car control.
Weeeeeee! Hope this lil info helps someone! If i'm stupid and can do it, so can you!
So im GC and have always used air roll, to the point where i can flip reset, air dribble whilst holding air roll etc. I actually didnt want to have to use a directional air roll and i wanted to stay with the normal. But when you almost reach the limit of normal air roll you can see where air roll direction would be helpful.
I mainly air roll left when i use normal air roll on L1, But im getting used to air roll right with the direction, dont ask why but pressing R1, and the opposite direction to R1 (left) to tornado spin makes my OCD happy. Tornado spinning and pressing the same direction my R1 button is doesnt feel so good haha!
But due to being ok with Air roll, ive managed to pick up the small adjustments quite quickly with the hoop maps, just by micro adjustments whenever the wheels or the roof of the car is facing me & i can get through most of them (albeit not very fast on some of them). However watching this video has made a few things click for me with Air roll right, i barely ever need to push my stick to the right, i also barely actually need need to rely on which direction to press when i can rely on boost like you mentioned in the video to change the direction / orientation.
This was actually very helpful, ive been working on this for the past maybe 3-4 nights and ive watched almost every single video on air roll right, and i must say, this has got to be the best one. Learning to control the car with boost and 1 direction and then layering other directions on top is a very clever way to do it. Due to me getting used to it all at once i think this will simplify stuff and make it alot easier especially as i was using bottom left alot anyway.
Long story short, very good video mate and very helpful. Should be happy with yourself mate! 10/10 helpful rocket league things
