PK Starstoooorm!
I wonder if Koopa pasta tastes like chicken noodles
'That fish out of the water is gonna DROWN'
It sure will. It sure will.
"Yellow Yoshi?"
"Yes, Village Leader?"
"I saw a bird. It was pretty. Kick its ass."
"Sure thing, best friend!"
"…hm. I wonder if he'd still be my friend if he found out I caused the great drought and blamed it on the albino Yoshis."
Good luck figuring out Koopasta!
Koopasta should be easy to figure out if your memory is functioning properly.
koopasta is a pasta dish involving dried pasta, but it's a bit more than just spaghetti and hot water
dried pasta is a regional specialty ala goomnuts and koopa leaves, but it don't grow on trees
raocow has enough coconuts to make copasta….wait.
Bombette's type is the kind of guy who uses explosions on multiple powerful enemies to blow them to dust, not just pop off without thought during arguments. I wonder who that could be?
For a paper world it sure takes water in stride.
(Terminator voice) IT'S NOT A TUNA
Yo'ster-sorry, Yoshi's village is a location with really cool music and that I love the concept of. I'm a little underwhelmed with the overall execution, unfortunately. It's not bad, but I really wish it had a little more oomph to it.
Clearly Koopasta is made by combining a Koopa with pasta. You already have a Koopa, so you just need to find some pasta now. But seriously, you already found cake mix, so idea of dry pasta isn't so far-fetched.
Raocow savagely shutting down some rando hitting on his girl
i take it theres to be a star piece scanner clearup video sometime?
Mario's a real blue-collar professional – he can tune a piano and he can tuna fish!
Would reviewing past footage count as cheating? Because, without spoiling it, there are two sidequests here that expect you to remember stuff from, like, three chapters ago. I forget if this game has any recipe book you can look at so if push comes to shove you may have to resort to that. Or just using the blue pipes in the sewer to revisit places you've been I guess
one day he'll equip the i Spy badge while doing sidequests so he can see where there are more star pieces
or he'll never get them ever
Given all sound is just vibration travelling through different mediums, theoretically if you were close enough to the source of the whale speaking, you should be able to hear it just from the surrounding parts of its body vibrating.
Mario should know how any pasta dish is made based on his Italian heritage. He cook da spaghetti.
12:13 We all learned from Dorrie in Mario 64, large fish must be ground pounded.
22:20 lol I know most of the Yoshi's have that same stare but the way it sounded and looked with 'The Village Leader is my friend!' hit me with a 'There is no war in Ba Sing Se' vibe.
Kolorado: Come to Lavalava Island with me. It'll be wonderful, trust me! [he said to the guy going there anyway.]
25:30 It's called "bad guys' skulls."
Now entering Super Lava Lava: The Lava Level.
Check the letters in Mario's house that should help. But for cooking it's just trial and error unfortunately. I don't think Recipes are a spoiler. I would suggest to look it up to avoid the countless experimentation, unless you want to.
If Rao thinks back, he might remember a certain turtley leaf he had once in his inventory. And dried pasta is bought at a certain dry place that he very, VERY briefly shopped at. He might not remember very well though.
I dunno when you'll ever play TTYD so I'm just gonna mention this here since we're at Yoshi village and I just thought about it:
It's still funny to me that Nintendo didn't put ANY sort of bad word list for naming the mini-Yoshi in TTYD. I don't have an immediate source to post but IIRC you could name him basically anything and the game will allow it within the amount of characters allowed.
Look, Mario! Ropes! We can use the- HELP ME, MARIO!
They say that, even to this day, Mario is still wandering the streets, asking any and all passerby if they know how to make koopasta.
Neglecting to aid Kolorado is perfectly acceptable.
I wonder how I'd react if a guy just walked into me screaming "How do you make Koopasta!" while two koopas followed him silently.
Death count: 7 (0 today)
Game crash count: 0
Star Pieces collected: 37 (3 today)
(1:51) Yeah, this guy's obsession over Bombette is very… "ugh"…
(3:28) Nice, 3 more Star Pieces. That makes 37 total, and 123 to go.
(5:06) Old Photo get! (5:23) Old Photo delivered.
(7:21) I think you have to use a bit of your cranium matter for this one. So, think about it… Koopasta sounds like Koopa + Pasta. There's a place that sells some pasta, and what item has "Koopa" in its name?
(9:17) If you're unable to put the info together on your own, and you're unwilling to accept any hints at all, then… you're stonewalled. And, this is going to be very aggravating to watch. Also, if you're trying to ask NPCs about Koopasta, maybe try asking in Koopa Village?
(10:33) Lyrics get!
(13:27) Alright, it's mid-boss time, vs. Fuzzipede! This is the one foe in the game you cannot Tattle, because you can't target it with anything while the room is dark, so Watt is required to be your partner in order to truly fight here. In order to see its HP, you'd need the Peekaboo badge. I'll just say right here that it has 20 HP.
(14:04) If only you had Quake Hammer equipped. At least Watt can still hit Fuzzipede with her normal attack.
(14:25) PK STAR STOOORM!!!
(14:35) And that ended up being exactly enough damage! Victory!
(20:29) Whoa, nice find! I hope you save that Repel Gel for something worthy of its use.
(20:40) Letter to Igor get.
(24:32) Letter delivered to Red Yoshi Kid.
(25:06) Letter to Dane T. get.
(25:35) You should probably rest at the Toad's inn to recover your spent star energy.
I think the game expects you to remember where you have seen (dried) pasta and another ingredient with Koopa (leaf)
Raocow scours the world for some naturally occurring pasta, searching every bush, and tree for this wild delicacy.
No mangrove, orchard, or shrubbery will escape his gaze, in the quest to appease an old codger.
Edit: "I hope there's a place I can unload all these coconuts" Raocow said, in front of a clearly labeled shop :Y
Today’s lava count: 24
Total lava count: 55
im pretty sure you did not at any point pass through that whale's lungs. instead what happened is that it puked you out of its nose 🙂
Man, raocow really did not take kindly to the potential of romantic competition for his waifu Bombette
