On early stages androids are realy good choice, they can carry group of newbie operatives by taking fire and just being badass, but in midgame they quickly become just average soldiers since well trained average operative is about as good as android but can excel in some areas. And off course Androids useless in any kind of psi engagement aside from shooting a lot. Yet i usually have few of them on base, since even after early game androids usefull as backing force in case of sudden base defence or understaffing due to large number of injures or deaths.
Nice video.
I want the Wolfhound APC named Reaver McCarface, and an android named Reaver McHumanface.
If a lot of people sign up, I'll sooner give up the android than the APC.
Pro-tip for avoiding city damage: fly very high and use bolter lasers and autocannons. Most UFOs can be shot down with those weapons, but they do not cause city damage. But when UFOs miss your craft, it'll go harmlessly into the sky.
Regularly check the alien infiltration graph and raid any organisations that show any infiltration to prevent those organisations going to the dark side.
Unfortunately, this is the original DOSBox game, not the modern OpenApoc one.
Nice, never thought I'd see Tiny Tim play X-Com Apocalypse.
Can't wait to watch the let's play 🙂 Please name one soldier 'Michael Kosky' – preferably medium to high hp and ap/tu. Give him a Toxigun please if he will still be alive 🙂
Sorry i must mention that its old video from 2018 pls check description
Few comments regarding weapons:
Megapol Law Pistol does actually more damage than the machinegun. Its less accurate, but lighter and one-handed. Not a bad weapon in close quarters.
Megapol Laser Sniper gun is great in realtime. Put your agents in a good position where they can cover a lot of ground, set them to crawl and aimshot. Any alien will not be able to hit your agents, as they will be too far away and crawling, while your agents will not have such trouble sniping the aliens. This also gives you plenty of time to react on aliens throwing explosives or occasional popper. In Turb-Base mode, when you can control your agents with better precision, they might not be that nice.
Incendiary ammo and grenade — Aliens do not like to walk on fire. If you want to deny aliens some ground, fire either this or gas (not smoke) grenades. Good if you want to herd aliens into a particular position or deny them moving closer to you.
6:10 dude
This plays just 50 years after terror from the deep and the world is not entirely ruined as Mega Primus is the First of several proposed megacities. But still most humans live in towns
Make part 2 pls ! Also, can you check the "chromosome evil" game too?
I just want to know how to play.
Someone did a really informative video on XCOM UFO defense. It was between five and ten minutes long and I know how to play.
Can you make a short, simple video that covers basics?
Nobody else has even done it yet. It's all a bunch of "let's plays" and their video times are downright obnoxious in length
Man I've always wanted to get into this game but with it being before my time it's so hard for me to jump into and actually understand how to play lol.
