  1. I personally think this is a rule that applies to higher ranks more and I am talking like past GC2, where rotation is slightly different, similar to also how rotation slightly changes in 3s as well in SSL or like pro-play. Most of the fundamentals stay the same but cutting rotations becomes more and more common as pressuring players as soon as possible becomes more and more important the higher you rank up. It's necessary to avoid weird rotations where multiple players ends up covering the same options, so after a certain point you just need to challenge or you back off and make sure your teammate challenges for you, someone has to just challenge though before you get in the awkward zone, which is why this play CAN be good especially when you consider that you aren't in comms, making your intention obvious by chasing down the guy will bait out a play and make the last mans job easier. Once again, this only applies to higher ranks once that last man is capable of reading your challenge and realizing you are baiting and play for that accordingly. Below GC, your teammates will most likely flame you for this and just call you a ballchaser and annoying because they cannot read your intentions as much as a higher ranked player would and it isn't a viable strategy because of that. 2v2 is just 1v1 but taking turns and your speed of the turns increases as you rank up, which is why in certain situations, depending on your rank, cutting rotation is in fact better to avoid getting into situations where both players cover same options. This is less of an issue in lower ranks because players fail to notice the flaw and take advantage of it but in higher ranks, you will be easily punished for it.

  2. I am plat, and even I would think that is the most logical play. And to be fair, I know how trash plat is, most teammates do understand as well, and not because they are ballchasing. The whole stranded goalline, is even in plat almost always a goal, if not the first, then the rebound, since at my level, that situation always leads to an double commit.
