  1. Not sure if you know this, but on kickoff after the jumpless impact, your wheels leave the ground for an instant. You can use this to do an instant wavedash recover, it helps get an edge sometimes. I think I see Comm doing it in this series.

  2. Those of you interested in playing snow day after watching this, let me share some tips that will serve as a good foundation for playing.
    1. Positioning – Position on the rink takes priority over everything, grabbing boost isn’t even close. You can play most matches with 24 boost and not use much at all. You’re using the momentum the ice affords you. Try to use power slide sparingly as you will be struggling to recover. There’s 1 more VERY important aspect of positioning which gets its own point too.
1.5. This is just as important as 1 and will inform your positioning and decision making. The puck is MUCH faster than you and in games where everyone is pinching it you MUST rotate efficiently AND keep someone close to goal in a position to save BEHIND the goal line. There is a reason that Snow Day has a devastating amount of own goals for everyone that plays it. You CANNOT ball chase, you will concede goals. Try not to jump out of goal either. Due to the physics of the puck most of the goals scored will be from a wall pinch going in off of the post, always shoot away because you WILL be punished for it.
    2. Pinches, learn how to do them, practice in private match in slow mo and disable the goal reset. DO NOT over pinch, it becomes very easy to read. There is a YouTuber called Scribbis who is a snow day main and he has some excellent tips for this. Also ceiling shots, they’re very hard to defend in snow day but don’t run before you can walk.
    3. Enforcing. Demos are just as great as normal and very handy for how fast the gameplay can get. Though, do not underestimate the power of bumps, use the ices physics to your favour because it can mess up peoples recovery to the point they wish they would have been demoed. If you’re playing with a team try to have a dedicated enforcer, bonus points to them if they’re good at redirecting because they will be your mvp.
    4. Try to limit how much you jump, it puts you out of position. Also, make sure you are comfortable playing on the wall.

Obviously the above aren’t everything and there will be exceptions to them but I promise you, if you try and at least follow tip 1 and 1.5 you WILL see success. If anyone has any more general tips then let’s hear them, I’ve already written an essay lol.
