8bitdo accidentally made this perfect controller for PC 😅
What's really weird about this is that the 8BitDo Pro 2 controller has proper ergonomics. The only reason I can think of for them to change to a worse design for the Ultimate controller is that they were prioritizing the controller's ability to sit neatly in the charging dock over its ergonomics. What a shame.
great video, what is your top 3 controller for PC under $150
There's nothing wrong with this controller
1- it's not fucking wide so smaller-hand people can enjoy it and no one use controller on the table
2- it's a universal controller the triggers are for pc.
3- it's hard to move the joystick because it has magnetic, it will never drift with the hall effect sensor.
You have the nonsense, guys buy this keyboard it's good for every use case and with every platform thanks to Bluetooth the software is 100% reliable, it's available on Mac windows, and also android.
Has anyone had problems with charging the controller? When I plug in the controller the charging lights only come on for about 15 seconds and then turn off, it's always the same no matter how I try to charge the controller. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on? Thanks
I have problem with vibrations anyone had this ? In options in switch i feel the vibrations when i play there is nothing i cant feel i dowloaded new drivers still nothing earlowr i played on xbox controller with adapter and i could feel the vibrations
Ok i hate how i find out that something isnt good after ive bought it
Thank you for the honest review…very helpful.
Seems a lot of people don't even own this controller and they already don't want any criticism. Sheesh fanboys these days. I have this controller and it's a terrible thing to hold. If you rest your hands on both handles, than you'll have to either bend your index fingers really hard to push the triggers or you'll have to push with the middle part of your index finger, it's just painful. I bought this in China and it has an 100-day money back guarantee. I'll try to get used to it, but I really don't think it's gonna work.
The holding experience is why I returned this controller. It forces your wrists inward. Its not comfortable like Xbox controller. Other then that the quality is outstanding.
Many of the reviewers are sponsored and faked their reviews. Free stuff for selling out.
You probably never reviewed the GuliKit KingKong 2 pro controller for the Switch. if you say the Switch controller is the still the best choice!?? It even supports Amiibooo (besides Rumble Gyros etc.) For me that is the number 1 controller for Switch and nr2 the Official Pro Controller.
Can you review the MOBAPAD?
Thanks for this. I've been thinking about getting it, but haven't bought it yet, because I was worried the angle of the sides might be a problem. Seeing it in your comparison has (sadly) given me enough reason not to buy it. Maybe I'll get the kingkong 2 instead, as it seems to have better angles. The rest I don't mind nearly as much.
Мда, предлагать про контроллер (который стоит дороже) вместо 8 bit do ultimate, еще называя недостатками очевидные плюсы, такие как аналоговые курки.
I hadn't noticed issues with the shape, but that does seem worth pointing out. I believe the resistance you mentioned with the sticks is inherent to hall effect sensors as you're overcoming the force of the magnet when you move it. This did not bother me either, but it's been a while since I used another controller to compare. I was also using a different controller with hall effects right before getting this one. I'm surprised to hear analog triggers noted as a downside. The lack of analog triggers on Nintendo controllers after the GameCube has been one of the biggest downsides as far as using them with other things. If not for that, the Wii U Pro Controller was very nice as a PC controller.
I would like to see a version of this controller with PlayStation-style symmetrical analog sticks in the future, or an update to their old Pro 2 controller with some of these new features like hall effects sticks and back buttons. I got this controller with Splatoon in mind since you can bind bomb to a back button for easier sub-strafing and then keep your index finger on the trigger so it's easier to start shooting. I put jump on the other one so that I can jump while already controlling the camera and shooting.
Why did you stop making videos?
Why do people talk about the triggers when you have 2 rear digital buttons?
"pro controller is still the most reliable and versatile switch controller" 👎🏼 I have three of them, two of which I have temporarily fixed the analog stick by replacing the metal contact inside, and all three of them are currently still drifting. So I don't know about how reliable they are. Even if the 8BitDo doesn't feel perfect, at least I could play Zelda without randomly walking off a cliff because of stick drift 🤣 disclaimer: I don't own this controller.
The 8bit controller doesn't have any joystick drift issues as opposed to any Switch Pro controllers. This only makes it a better controller.
It also doesn't have HD rumble either. My biggest issue with Nintendo's very own official Pro controller is that it has 12ms(Tested and confirmed) more input lag/latency than the joy-con's which is straight up unecceptable for most genres imo.
This is why i prefer using the Duel Sense controller. Low latency, it's haptics destroy Switch's HD Rumble, it's rocking adaptive trigger support and it also includes Gyro.
Have you tested the latency on the 8bitdo ultimate, and if it's gyro is comparable or as good as Nintendo's Pro Controller?
ALSO NO MIC MONITORING!!
But you can customise the rear buttons to be whatever you want with the software
This video is so bad. Mainly, your reasoning is portrayed as so absolute and authoritative that it watched more like a smear than a helpful video. I pretty much only agree with your point about the ergonomics also, the rest I thought was dumb and like you were grasping at straws just to have something negative to say. I'm not accusing you of anything, but that's how this video seems, and it's not very good for those reason. You have to at least try to give off the impression you're balanced and aren't working backwards from a conclusion.
How is the issue of input lag? Is it the same as the PS5 DualSense or DS4?
The final point about precision and being careful or whatever is silly. You can increase the deadzone if you want.
Aside from ergonomics which I personally have no problem with, all the rest of your concerns can be adjusted and configured using 8bitdo's app. you can also asign the rear paddle buttons to things like thumbstick press. The on off of the nintendo switch digital ZR ZL buttons is in my opinion a failure of Nintendo's design. In any case, the 8bitdo controller can be set so that you only have to tap it you don't have to push it down all the way (although you can if you want to).
I feel that the hall effect sensors should be mentioned in the video, because it makes the controller much longer lasting. The drift issue is definitely a real thing with most controllers, and can ruin your switch pro(for example) in a few months, depending on what games you play(i play a lot of rocket league, and it demands good quality controllers). This one has them, as well as Gulikit KingKong 2 or Gamesir G7 SE, to mention a couple. The 8bitdo ultimate actually uses Gulikit's own hall effect sensors.
it has better sticks than other controllers my friend they are hall effect.
Practical and precise, I like your review on this. I would like to know if the switch pro still has the d-pad issue and as far as I have read nintendo released a new model "E" from "D". Also, on a teardown they changed the actual d-pad. I hope they addressed this issue.
To me, they’re excellent
