So they have announced official system requirements for WoW Classic with 5GB free space, only to make me install 65GB regular client first? Seriously? 😀
I clicked the icon on my desktop first, just like you did. When it client popped up again after I closed it, the choice just magically appeared 😀 ty so much for this tutorial dad c;
I have never plaid wow, or any Blizzard game for that matter. But I've decided to try Wow classic. I have no experience with Blizzard at all, but I gotta say, managing to download and play classic is a real pain in the ass.. For me it was not obvious at all that I had to download a wow launcher, to then choose classic in this dropdown menu as shown in the video. As for now I'm in the middle of downloading classic, but I have no idea if I have to download the regular wow as well (?) but I feel like i have to, as regular was 60+ gb, and classic only 4 gb.
so for people looking to find a way to install wow classic in 2020 june and onward: heres what you do. 1. pay for the subscribtion first cuz ull need it due to the fact there isnt wow classic free trial. 2. in the battlet net game app click world of warcraft and above play there is the option to select version. 3. if the version only has world of warcraft available but no where to be find wow classic, proceed to 4. 4. Uninstall your blizzard client because thats what i had to to do in order to download the wow classic. 5. Reinstall the client and you should be able to find the wow classic download option in the drop bar.

If you can't see World of Warcraft Classic do this:
Ok, Blizzard have said this:
Hey folks,
Reinstall the app: https://tinyurl.com/yxhstbnp
If just reinstalling the app fails to fix the problem, you’ll want to try removing all the associated app data:
Press Windows+R to open the “Run” prompt
Type one of the below locations and press enter:
%programdata%
%temp%
%appdata%
%localappdata%
Delete any folders which say Blizzard, Battle.net, or Blizzard Entertainment
Repeat steps 2/3 for all 4 locations above
Grab a new battle.net application installer from our website and run it
We’ve found this fixes things when a simple reinstall doesn’t. Anybody still have problems after
