  1. Crystal mysticism is a very complicated subject. There is documentation of some aspects of it being real and other aspects being absolute dogwater. Most of it is purely psychosomatic i.e. the thing works because the person in question believes it implicitly.

  2. QoTD: i agree with you, we are meat sacks that walk the earth untill we die. for me to believe things i need evidence. But my wife is into the rocks and spirits stuff and we get along perfectly. i listen when she rambles and let her enjoy herself. im sure she thinks how much i enjoy video games is equally as weird.

  3. QotD: I believe in portions of mineral/gemstone hoohah. Like do I believe a prism of quartz can cure cancer nope and there is no actual proof behind it. BUT if you tell me something like the colors a gemstone reflect into your room can have an affect on your psychological well being I can believe that since psychology is all what works for each individual (mostly I think it is a placebo effect but placebo effects can produce physical changes if the person believes hard enough). Or if the smell of say a Himalaya rock lamp can help you focus or something (tbh I have never noticed it giving off a smell because I dont think it does but some people have told me thats why they like them). Plus the whole thing with eating minerals is just a bunch of nonsense because generally 90% will be pee'd out and you just develop super "expensive" pee for a bit lol and the other 10% generally would come naturally from a balanced diet anyways. One of the big claims is they help to relieve pain which is just nonsense though there is a tiny nugget of truth in there, in a few studies it has been shown that focusing on a single can distract the mind and reduce the feeling of pain but that is just being distracted.

Though beyond all that I do love using gemstones as decoration because they are pretty but that is just a besides the point type of deal lol. Like I have a few geodes which are super pretty looking and in a room I got a prism set up so it creates a bit of a rainbow on the wall at noon. Stuff like that I am a sucker for but the actual properties not really outside of their folklore uses. And I dont believe in folklore uses but they are very interesting.

There are some really cool rock theories out there though like the whole viking using "sun rocks" as navigation equipment which does have some validity to but not through magic or anything it basically helps them align their instruments with the sun. I would recommend checking out a youtube video on sun stones if you get past the whole unverifiable magic part of it, it is a cool old world technology.

  4. "I have never heard of anyone being into spirituality being pushy" I might have a disproportional amount of bad stories involving these type of people because I am Indian so when ever you see a hippy they assume you since you are brown you believe in all that stuff. I can definetly hold a conversation about Chakras and Karma and the different properties of minerals but that has nothing to do with me being Indian and more to do with me liking folk lore and stories. And the number I have had try to "get me to see the light" is amazing generally it is concentrated in specific cities like when I was in LA you get so many of them who mix "spirituality" and anti-vax, or mix "minerals" and "anti-medicine" who get actively angry when you bring up the veracity of their claims. Because I know the real stories behind those gems and the ideas for their use I also give the things they are supposed to be bad for because there are always two sides to a story there is nothing which is purely good. The worst time I had a white lady in India throw her prayer beads (not like the christian one but like the Bhuddist wooden ones) at me (I ended up just kicking them into traffic) because she kept trying to get me to believe in Feng Shui and I was mentioning how that whole tradition started and you cant really believe in a single aspect of it and expect it work (because there is some stuff about where your physical house is located and etc), which was a really odd experience because I would have assumed she has a Hare Krishna at first glance but I think she was one of those "mix of faiths" type deals I forget the name because there are a few but generally they are just called new age universalism or something .

  5. If your not actually gonna use mars for like damage or anything (which would have been a perfect combo with what you had namely camo underpants) you can just trigger it before you have to make fine movements and you wont get tossed around because it has a fairly long cool down.

  6. 29:35 mars is also fine with on contact stuff like midas touch, serpants kiss, maybe ecoli. And I had a combo that was mars+kamikaze that lets you drive by bomb enemies during iframes. But yeah most of the time when I have mars, i take way too much damage than what it is worth.

  7. QoTD: Do I believe rocks or amethyst have any sort of real power? No, not really, unless if you count the power people give to them that is also very important, way more than people realize. Diamonds are also just rocks, as rare as it is in the end is just a rock like any other, but to ignore the power that diamond has over people is not as wise as you may think. If I believe in this sort of thing is hard question to answer without a massive wall text, I just have enough experience with it and with a more serious side of this sort of thing, not street vendors sealing pretty rocks I mean, that I can't give you a proper answer, I can just tell you that real or not is not wise to ignore the power it can have over people who believe in this sort of thing and specially the tradition around it, you can even say a lot of the power comes from exactly that.

  8. i'm pretty sure there is a mod that binds mars to a hot key unless it stopped updating ,if you really find mars abhorent because of how it works with double tap you should just use it
