  1. Its called flexible picking. Aka flex pick. So therefore means you keep your eyes open and really read that situation and lead into a play. Also yea you're not against the same player it's almost always new. Plus playing open minded allows you to learn to fix or abuse mistakes made. In game or previous games by fixing your mentality you can overcome a lot

  2. I’ve been SSL for three seasons and adaptation is a key factor. You can’t predetermine what decisions you’ll be making, as this heavily depends on teammates and opponents. However, this video particularly focuses on game-sense and decision making. There are obviously some things worth practicing before game. Mechanics are always useful, no matter what situation, which is why free play is so important for improvement.

  3. All good until you have 10 team mates whiff in a row
    Ranked system sucks
Penalised for other people's mistakes you literally can't attack and gotta hope they can.
It's a brutal game that is only good if your actually playing with people on headset. Solo queuing is death

  4. next vid. how to counter bots 5 games in a row, who dont pass, cant shoot, dont BOOST, triple commit, and score for the other team. Also, the eu servers in D rank are terrible. those kids have no manners. but the NA kids are P2. just no winning with this game.

  5. So true, Rocket League is highly situational.
I learned to go in every match open-minded, watching my opponents and team mates first and THEN adapting and deciding how to play. Before that I lost so many matches (mostly because of ballchaser mates, mates who were afk, who started playing against me, no joke, I watched a shit ton of my replays haha) because I went in with a preordained mindset (I'm gonna play aggressive! I'm gonna play passive! I'm only defending this time!)
Now that I've changed that I went out of mid diamond and climbed into low champ in a matter of weeks and won my first champ tournament yaaay. I know it's not a big achievement but for me it felt great.
Mates can definitely deter your progress but instead of lamenting about it all the time, try to ADAPT TO THEM, no matter how bad or annoying they seem to be.
And another tip, don't get tilted. I have a very short temper in RL but when I started to just let it slide and focus on ending matches, I made so many comebacks, it's insane.
AND when you're tilted, DON'T KEEP QUEUING a mode in which you want to rank up. Go into casual, play an extra mode or whatever. I guarantee you, you will lose more games when you're pissed because you'll start making irrational decisions based on anger haha
    Just my two cents

  6. The thing is tho, im 'stuck' in champ 2 at the time. And im not saying "yo im so much better than that" or somethin like that. But opponents at this rank are extremely unconsistant and unpredictable. So i cannot read what people are going to do or how they hit the ball. Its super tricky to understand how they play and adapt to that . This stategy might work in gc or above but i have to say that thats probably not going to work for me.
    Great video anyways!

  7. The big boost to use big boost tm8s are so annoying. I get them all the time. They take 3 boost pads then when I can't save I'm looking stupid, and my tm8s say something toxic like "Dude what are you doing? You suck."

  8. And this is the difference between great players and the best ones. Great players will be able to adapt, but the best ones can actually impose how they want to play and there's very little thw opponents can do to stop them. Unfortunately though, the vast majority of us can't do neither of those things 😀
