Had a guy trying to tell me air rolling was more efficient to change direction based on the amount of time you can actually boost. And it's bullshit lol. I can change direct just as fast or better without air rolling constantly, only using joystick air roll to adjust.
air roll does reduce knockback, since ur in a steady motion, its a fluent motion and u dont get knockback… pushing in the Direktion still let u feel knockback and you need to adjust your car after
I feel like you explained the knockback thing, but very poorly. Like I don’t think you really convey what it actually is that achieves the prevention of knockback and why air roll does work to prevent it, and why that still doesn’t make constant air roll the correct thing. I know it’s a short so you don’t have all the time in the world, but I think it could have been better.
imagine paying for this clowns coaching course and this is the type of stupid unfulfilling "lessons" you get taught lol… somehow i doubt the stuff he doesn't give out for free on his youtube is higher quality info than this. What a scammer. Doesn't have a clue how to properly explain stuff is just the icing on the cake.
That is not true. The motion for the roll comes out of nowhere, so its an additional movement in the air that doesnt cost any boost and can in certain positions increase your impact on the ball. Though same can be said for directional movement.
I mena isnt this stuff obvious 😂 the only people that think air roll makes u faster are low level players that cant fast aerial so get beat by higher levels that fast awrial and air roll together
air roll helps a ton with control of the car in the air and also air rolling backwards into a ball would be a softer hit rather than using the front bumper of your car
I don’t have hardly any time to play Rocket League. Being old with a kid will do that to you. But please tell me why I’m D3 and just realized that not having joystick input at contact is why my car knocks back sometimes 😢
Some people air roll excessively. In casuals and lower ranks you can do it almost all the time youre in the air, but at higher ranks like GC, i find it easier to rank up if i air roll less because it does slow you down in the air. It can be beneficial for hitting certain angles though for sure
Though air roll does NOT make you LITERALLY faster, you can use air roll for recovery in many scenarios which makes you a faster player due how fast you are able to recover. That’s why Jack said that, you wouldn’t need to recover in a perfect world.
The only thing air roll do is change trajectory or have trajectories that you can't have without air roll
Your car moves forward in the direction your nose is pointing while holing the acceleration when in the air
What waaaaa… hold on. Say that again?
No air roll for the first touch?
I’ve been loving a lie all this time?

Me who’s GC1 on KBM: what’s a joystick bruh?
🤓
I think people are getting air rolls and speed flips confused. They aren’t the same thing.
That last part made a whole lot of sense why my ground to air dribble sucks

i swear wayton had a video where he tested that myth and using air roll did make your car faster
edit: sorry it was stripes video where he tested myths with wayton and wayton was faster when he used air roll
we need someone as smart as luke but on kbm so we know how to use his tips better

Luke if it comes down to me believing you or Jack I’m gonna choose Jack no offense, you need to give a reason as to why instead of just denying it

So if you hit the ball and you just tilt back from it, it's cuz I ain't pushing up into it?

pls watch some rocket science it does make ur car reach it's rotational max speed earlier

man i have too many knock backs… i thought that was cause dead zone
Air roll does reduce knock back by a decent amount
