hey, Ben, J, DK and Jordan! first i wanna say thank you for being such an inspiration and a ray of hope in my life. here's my question. i just got my master's degree in secondary education and will be certified to teach earth science. this is considered an elective class here in Arizona, so there are really not many places hiring and i haven't been offered a job yet. my family keeps encouraging me to just teach something else, but my passion lies with earth science and i don't want to get burnt out from the start teaching something i don't love. i have a low paying job in the meantime that covers the bills but doesn't allow to save much. should i just certify myself in an area that is in high demand and wait a few years for an opening and hope i don't burn out or hold out for the one true position i really want? The more I think about it too the more hints I notice starting a little less that a year back. The thing is that something like this hasn’t happened to me before. What should I do?

I have a crush on a girl that i am good friends with and if i asked her out, I think she would say yes, but I don't want the responsibility of dating yet. I am best friends with her brother so it would be awkward if we broke up. My parents don't really like people my age dating yet, because they think it is too young. so should I ask her out or not. Ben, J, and DK, though I do not think that I have an over abundance of friends, I do have several different friend groups (at church, school, etc.). I try to be the same person around everybody, but I have noticed that I am a bit less talkative around my church friends. This has led them to assume that I am just naturally quiet, which I am not. I want to change this perception that they have of me, but I am afraid that it will make me seem somewhat fake or that they will reject the real me. And it is all too easy to simply act as people assume you always act. Is there something, other than simply trying to talk more around them, that I can do to change how they see me? Thoughts?
