This reminds me of how me and my friend were shiny hunting iron jugulis. I already caught one, so we were trying to get another I spawned in another right as he was nearby but I walked away not seeing it so he couldn't catch it
I hope they fix how buggy area zero is with multiplayer, it’s one of the coolest areas in the game and I want to explore (and look for shinies) with friends!
I've only seen this happen when you're playing with others in area 0, the model does that when they're being battled!

i had a silimar situation, but i fixed it. all you do is save and reset, it'll respawn normally
Your friend encountered it and wanted to let you catch it so he ran. When playing coop and if you run from a pokemon it’ll disappear.
