Would anyone be against the classic raids having hard mode/mythic? Would be epic imo.
I want my classic server to be classic forever… but later on option for character copy to classic TBC server… This keeps classic classic and TBC separate. BEST OPTION!
They need to add the honor system and rank 14 gear sooner (phase1) rather than later (phase2), and maybe allow people who hit rank 14 to purchase the NEW gear (quickblade, shield, relic, etc) when/if it's added later. It would be much healthier and get more people into pvp earlier, especially casters.

Hey, at 1:18:15 he talks about the armor values of each bosses and there missing reference on the internet. I was heavily invested in bug reporting on a german private Server just like Nano with the wayback mashine and filtering every old forum post for info for this abillity and that script etc. and often i felt very statisfied by that work( for no money) just 4 fun. I even Bought the old Bestiary book and Dungeon Companion Book, it was released in BC but all Monster of Wow are listed there from Classic to BC the lvl 1 Wolf in Elwynn Forest to Kelthuzad and BC bosses.

Hey guys, I havent seen much of the older Classicasts but I really like this format. I have a question about the servers they will do for classic: Have you talked and speculated about it on the older Classicasts? Is it possible to tell me in which one? And also: What are your thoughts on this? Because I believe they have to do the amount of servers right for Classic WoW to be successful. And they probably will do regional servers which means splitting the US and European playerbase. Obv it makes sense cause the US guys would love to play with a proper ping (unlike on most private servers which are based in the EU) but all these things make me wonder what they have in store for us server wise. Will there be language based servers like german ones, french ones etc. cause this will split the community even more.
2.0 was a mess of TBC bugs warlocks had overpowered spellpower scaling and especially broken unstable affliction feedback dmg leading to sometimes 13k dmg spikes at aq to naxx levels of gear.
You guys talked about what will happen if blizzard decides to progress to bc. What if blizzard from day one of classic says something like "servers x, y or z will potentially progress to bc. We dont know if it will even happen but if you're ok with rolling over to bc in a few years then play on these servers. IF you'd like to forever stay on a classic wow server and not progress to bc go to servers A, b or c. Again nothing is set in stone. We dont know if we will act on this but it gives us the option in 2 years when we will inevitably have to make a decision to roll over to bc"
This way when and if the time comes to progress to bc, server wont be disrupted with people transfering in and out and you dont have to start fresh new servers. Again this is just meant to give Blizzard an option for down the road when this problem arises.
Thoughts?
I dont understand why people think the world will end if there are alot of people in the starting areas. I cant speak for other servers but Elysium launched with a 14k population cap with no sharding and it was just fine. Given, there was a level of dynamic respawns, which helped greatly, but overall, it was perfectly playable. Alot of the arguments I hear in favor of sharding are "there will be no mobs available to complete quests" or "it will be too crowded to enjoy". I can only speak for myself in this, but I ENJOY the huge number of players, the competition for mobs, the drive to try and pull ahead of the pack. It gives an incredible sense of community and life to be involved. Blizzard has said they don't want to change anything that disrupts social elements of the game and to me sharding, even if it is just in the starting zones, would have a huge social impact. It is kind of a culture for a new server to be a part of that initial server launch and huge rush. Something that will NEVER happen again for the duration of the server. Sharding would destroy that. All because of this hyped up boogeyman that the game will be destroyed by large starting zone populations. The starting rush is a GOOD thing, not bad.
I really enjoy watching these podcasts. For someone who’s always wanted to play Vanilla but didn’t have the opportunity, I’m very excited. Thank you for keep us all updated!
Right click reporting is good to get rid of the gold selling spam.
Would be nice to see PVP split in 2… and have 1 half come out at Phase2, and the second half of PVP release at Phase3, to distract some people from raids!
2:11:00 True, but not the full picture. When the honor system first released, you needed to be at the rank to USE the equipment. If you ranked up and bought the PvP weapons and armor then deranked, you couldn't use them anymore. It wasn't until patch 1.6 that they changed the requirements to lifetime highest rank. So in the original implementation, rank 14 weapons were meant for current rank 14 users only.
The best classic cast yet. I love the ones with nano and private server guys

Doesnt matter if you're vocal about the wow token. If you enter OSRS, gold is traded between current RS and osrs by players. Ruining both economies. RS is used to farm gold for osrs…it's over. Because trading gold between retail wow and classic wow wont be an illegal practice.

I dont think it is in their best interest to not have BGs at the start. Id be 100% fine with BGs being in the game at launch, but have the honor system disabled at the start. So you can still do BGs but they are 100% for fun. I can see it already, I wil have friends that are going to quit and be like O ill just come back when Bgs come out.. but if thats 4 months from launch im going to spend my entire summer playing by myself 🙁 GIVE THEM THEIR BGs.. but leave the rewards and honor system out until a more acceptable time!
Nano does not seem to like pvp much. Everytime it comes up he wants pvpers to have weaker gear or to be corralled into Bgs. While he seems extremely knowledgeable he also seemed a bit biased
How many of you doesn't want to see TBC after Classic Wow?
I would like to see something new and fresh that is very similar to Vanilla, with not too big changes.
I loved TBC, but the Vanilla feeling was somehow gone.
If they continue progression through xpacs i would like to see them make changes and fixes to put the game in a different direction and correct some mistakes they learned after the xpac

Anyone think they should not go past vanilla? At all. Asking for classic seems not to be the same as asking for a reset of all of wow.
So many people who want to name their first-born "NO CHANGES" want flying removed from new-n-improved TBC. Doesn't that violate the "NO CHANGES" mantra?

It is entirely possible that the "Phases" could contain smaller patches of content release. ie (Phase 2, week 1, week 3, week 6, etc..)

@esfand If you dig through the bug reporting archives for Elysium, most of which transferred from nost, most of the ret abilities didn’t work properly
