  1. I leveled human to 10 probably 25 times over the years, and I I used to always try to do is as fast as possible, and I would check my time. The fastest I remember ever doing it was 3 hours, if I used my hearthstone efficiently and didn't die at all, got all the quests done in the right order, etc. For a new player, I think 1-10 in Elywynn could be 4.5 to 5 hours pretty easily.

  2. What's wrong with the sound ? It's this constant robot glitching sound.

In Regards to sharding and dealing with a high surplus of players in the begining, I think sharding would be a far better option than messing with the respawn timers. Dynamic respawn times feels too unorganic and allows you to farm the same spot over and over again, I hate that shit.

I think I could be okay with sharding as a temporary solution in the very begining of the game where sharding is then turned off after the first week or so. Just to have a way to deal with all the players.

Another way to deal with it would be to launch a lot of servers in the beginning and put a cap to like 2500 or so at each server then after a few weeks you merge them all together.

So take Stormscale for example, you would then go on and make a fixed set of sub divided servers.

    Stormscale-sub#1
    Stormscale-sub#2
    Stormscale-sub#3
    And so on

After 1 week all sub servers are merged together.

After a fixed amount of time they would then merge all the sub divided servers together to become one server named "Stormscale"

Blizzard if you are reading this, please do not mess with dynamic respawns or fuck with it.

  3. Esfand you have no idea what you're talking about regarding CRT monitors. It's like you talk out of your ass.

I played at a higher resolution back then in wow running it at 1600×1200 and 1280×960 interchangebly deppending on how much hz I wanted which about the same pixel density as a 1080p monitor. So the fact that you seem to think that CRT were this ancient thing that were so horrible, everyone was running 480p or 768p or whatever is just your fantasy.

LCD monitors has taken giant steps backwards in many aspects like color accuracy, black color accuracy, viewing angles & motion blur (persistence). So why you seem to think that all CRT's were bad seem to just this thing you seem to be pretending about is just a poor attempt to try to make people like what you're saying. Any knowledgeable person who actually played back then and used a proper CRT can attest to the fact that they just as good monitors as monitors were just a few years ago. Heck some of them were even better than many monitors today.

The only thing were issues for some people was the the fact that they took up more space, weighed more and had some geometry issues as well as not very bright pictures. Aside from that you could get good monitors if you were willing to pay for it.

  4. My bet is on Either April, possibly May or November 2019. November would make it 15 years since WoW launch which kind of sounds better than just picking a random date, but then again 15 years isn't exactly a round number like 10 or 20. Personally I was saying January or April 2019 all along and April/May still makes a lot of sense. Maybe during the Easter in 2019, who knows.

  5. Thanks for the cast, as usual – epic content! Just wondering, would you consider having a backup VoiP program like Teamspeak or Ventrilo or something? I feel as if the robotic discord lagg killed the overall quality of this one, don't get me wrong – it will still fantastic but without the robotic lagg, it would have been much better!

  6. My plan for classic release is just to get some jugs to piss and shit in, then subsist off my own body fat so I don't even have to waste time getting up for food. Gonna get a a few 5 gallon jugs of water and be skinny by the time I take a break.

  7. The only thing acceptable in a shop would be little pets, tabars / shirts, but certainly not mounts.
And maybe the ability to transmog an item (maybe $5 or $10 a full set transmog, under certain conditions).

Same for linking Retail and Classic together with bonus. Maybe a mount on retail for leveling a character to level 20 or completing one of the first dungeons.
And maybe a pet in classic, if you played retail.

I'm against fresh servers, but if they do, it should be released maybe after a year or two after the last patch is added to the servers.
1.13 servers should replace fresh servers, maybe copies of existing servers, that shutdown after 6 to 10 months, so servers do not transform in total deserts like it happened on Lightshope

  8. I’ve been following wow classic and theses pod casts, and was always disappointed because Im leaving on a 2 year mission trip at the beginning of the year and wouldn’t get to play classic. I think the demo might be worth the money for me to pick it up so I can at least enjoy some of it.:)

  9. Tipsout's logic about buyable cosmetics and cool-progression is a hard and solid point.
Staystafe and esfand swims on heavy water if they think buyable cosmetics doesn't change that much.

In CSGO and rocket league? Waterproof. But in vanilla WoW? Literally a tsunami.

  10. I don't think WoW Tokens are that bad. In your guys eyes, you seem so one sided. You're against people " buying " gold. 1st of all, the gold used to purchase the WoW Token's earned in game. 2nd of all, the people who purchase these, generally aren't trying to spend 15$ a month, and yes for some people, that's just not doable. I don't think people selling WoW Tokens for gold earned in game is a bad thing. It's literally like trading, a stranger. Hey you have an item I want, and this is the amount of gold I'll pay for it. Just because it wasn't in the game, doesn't mean something like a WoW Token can't be added.

I seriously hope that made sense, but if you're so down for no changes. I don't even understand how to open your eyes behind that.

It's literally like someone saying, paying X gold for subscription. The Token makes that possible for someone willing to sell time for gold. Blizzard just said, we'll make some money off of this, and you won't have to deal with websites and fraud and scams, and everyone wins.

The player needing time. The playing wanting gold. Blizzard wanting their money, while screwing over gold farmers/sellers.

Still love your content, just this 1 very specific item, I DON'T THINK'S BAD.

Edit: Also, if you guys are wanting for it to be under the same subscription. Maybe the argument can lay there. I'll just log into BFA to farm gold to get a Token to get time, then back to Classic? I just don't understand the logic, maybe I'm just an idiot.

  11. I will be attending my 6th Blizzcon this year, and I can confirm that demo areas consist of "in house" accounts and generally 15min time limits. I hope to bump into you guys there!

  12. I just hope they dont bring the PVP gear from BC back. I didnt mind spending the 25 hours of raiding a week + all grinding, because that gave you the best gear in game to PVP. Then arena game came and raiding was useless

  13. I don't think they should release an open alpha/beta or whatever for classic wow in the same way they have for other games/expansions. It would just diminish the experience of going back to classic too much. The demo is enough.

  14. Star Wars: The Old Republic handled sharding in a pretty good way.

There was an interface option on your map where you could change your shard manually based on the instance you were in. It was each planet for that game, but it could be each continent for WoW. More shards would become available if population in that zone was high, and they could be eliminated if population was too low.

If there was a population change and shards needed to be added/removed, it could give the player a popup option to shard or remain, or at least give a 30second warning.

edit: Also, I live in Southern California, Santa Monica to Irvine is less than an hour drive outside of commuting hours.

  15. When it comes to modern day cosmetics, the only thing I'd like to see would be the barber shop – keep it on the site even, but I'd be totally fine paying $10 to get my Wrath hairdo for my main.

No gear, mounts or other though.

    Also fuck sharding. Like seriously.

  16. Having an honor system on launch does not equal having access to honor gear. They decide when the gear will be available. Even though we're going back to familiar territory, not everything is going to release on the same time schedule. Having the ability to gather honor from the start can be a good thing.

  17. I'm not positive, but with low-pop servers I believe they would announce a plan to merge with other low-pop servers and offer transfers from those servers to select other servers ahead of time.
