  1. I'm really wanting to get into classic WoW, and I am currently leveling a Gnome Warlock. However, I only have an hour or two to play during a day. Maybe twice week. Will I be able to dungeons? I know raiding is out of the question.

  2. I think you should get in trouble for mind controlling someone out of a portal, that is griefing. You should always get in trouble for harming someone's gameplay. Say you have 1 hour to play and you want to run a battleground and you get in 12 minutes later after queuing and you play for say 10 minutes and someone mind controls you out and you have to wait 15 + 12 more minutes for another queue, so now that player probably cannot even complete one battleground in an hour because of someone wanting to grief them.

  3. I hope they dont fix the bugg where you could travel below/above the map. Like the bugg where you could get under stormwind then walk to ironforge from there under the map. Those things were so exciting and not really gamebreaking. But yea buggs like that in battlegrounds, that is a whole other story.

  4. Classic is good because it doesn't have all the filthy disgusting bull-crap splattered all over it that the modern wow has.
    You know, stuff like:
    – Raid/Dungeoun Finder
    – Daily Quests
    – Dual Spec
    – Garrisons
    – Wellfare Epics
    – Wellfare Legendaries
    – Streamlined Questing that exists only to make tou max level asap instead of earning their own right to exist
    – Achievements and other pointless bullshit like that
    – Etc etc…

Also the core game was better.

  5. Oh, another thing: Classic WoW had a certain dignity to it that simply isn't present in the new goofy and juvenile animesque game. The Game respected itself back in Vanilla days, now it's just a whore that does anything to get and keep subs. WoW isn't just "a different game" it is downright inferior game in every single regard. Only the software-engineering involved has gotten more sophisticated, but the actual game has just become progressively worse since TBC.

  6. love the podcast, keep them coming! I agree with what Tips said about in classic you don't have to play the game for a long period of time before being challenged and he referenced Mor'Ladim.

I was working up North recently and decided to go and try to tackle that that Elite quest NPC but it was 2 in the morning and i couldn't find a group. I was playing on a frost mage and he was orange text because he was higher level. I tried for a while and then said screw it i'm going to attempt it solo. he one shot me. I scratched my head and tried again being sure to slow him and kite after clearing surrounding mobs and eventually he caught up to me and 1 shot me. I revived, stepped back and refined my strategy and ate some of the food that I had cooked from some fish that I caught in Redridge Mountains. With all my buffed active i tried again. I pulled it all out on this one, timing my cooldowns perfectly and i managed to down him. It was took everything I had and it all happened during just another day leveling in Duskwood. It didn't require weeks of grinding or a mythic setting. It happened in the open world and took planning, coordination and perseverance too pull it off.

  7. I honestly don't get why these 3 keep saying that the social systems have been strip from the game… Like maybe if u are super casual and only want to do heroic dungeons LFR yes thats the case. But if u want to do mythic dungoens or mythic +s at all u have to group with people go to a summoning stone and summon them. You talk about a strat on a particular mythic + affix. There is so much communcation that goes into forming and completeing a mythic +. I just don't think these poeple actually play retail at all and just read about the super casual experience.

  8. I think that they shouldn't have gone for vertical progression with each expansion but perhaps gone for horizontal such as adding sideways content with more stuff to do. This doesn't mean that you can't still build up your character, other games manage to do this just fine by adding in additional progression systems, but blinding adding levels feels lazy and I hated that each expansion made the world you had played in before feel less relevant. Now it's just a mad dash to the end and years of game play is seen as an inconvenience rather than something to experience.

  9. Man I love Classicast it's easily the most enjoyable podcast I listen to these days.
Regarding the warsong jumps I must say as someone who's heavily been a part of the warsong gulch community on a multitude of patches retail and not. I understand with them going backwards from a newer client the odds of warsong gulch jumps staying in the game are slim however they aren't that hard they aren't game "breaking" (in reference to tunnel, and gy jumps: I do feel there are other jumps that are bad like the ones that take you out of map)and they do nothing more than create another layer of good vs bad. It's like saying you can't use your mouse because billy bob didn't plug his in.
I do not recall anyone ever getting in trouble for warsong jumps even in the hyper agressive cut throat competitive scene that was ruin19s.

  10. Wanting the beat the game is exactly my reason to play again. I didn't have that much time to play back then and could only do some MC and ZG. I wish I could get further in the game like in could in BC and WOTLK.

  11. I get confused when you use "When ever" instead of when. As I understand it, whenever means "every time that" and means that something happened multiple times. "Whenever my girlfriend saw that movie, she got sad". If you use when, she saw it once. if you use whenever, she saw it multiple times with the same reaction. They have different meanings but you seem to have dropped the word when from your vocabulary entirely. I'm not trying to be mean, rather constructive. I'm sure its a regional adaptation, but confusing to most. If you say, "whenever the boss enrages, you must tranq him", I am expecting it to happen more than once.

  12. Crendor is the all time best wow content man through all the years. I just started watching yall. Have been watching allcraft since its inception, and its just… frustrating. Terrible quality, only 2 of the 3 hosts have anything insightful to say, and they steamroll over every guest, every time. Hopefully you guys put classicast on itunes or spotify or whatever as well.

  13. About the transmog between both games, in retail you have to be able to use the item on the character you get it on. Now some people might try new classes but I know most will stick to their roots. So someone looking for a item for Transmog for retail in Classic will most likely be on the same class. Asmongold isn't going to play a hunter when Classic comes out 😉

  14. I think the perfect example of reward vs. effort in vanilla wow is the crafting while you level, it's gonna require more effort to level up because you're doing proffesions at the same time, but the amount of reward that it gives you in terms of doing noticably more damage, taking more damage, potions, combat customization from engineering etc. etc. it's so rewarding that the effort in itself is rewarding, when you know you've worked hard to get to a certain level so you can craft this thing, you gathered the mats or bought them from another player with your hard earned gold, and now you have a massive upgrade which is gonna last you probably more than 1/4 of the way to 60, if not useable after 60, god damn crafting was so good in vanilla..
