Hey Jordan! (and other people) I have had a lot of trouble making friends as a freshman in highschool and have considered starting a club for something I really enjoy. The school has given it a lot of backlash but I was considering going for it regardless. Should I try and start the club or just keep trying to make friends the normal way? (The club will be about something called Overwatch League and I have already joined a sports team and two clubs and theater.) PS: Please don’t tell me to join the Discord I have plenty of online after school friends already but I’m tired of sitting alone at lunch.
If you had told me a few months ago, that I would be watching people play a game lime this on YouTube, I'd have said you were nuts. I love these vids and have considered getting a game system just for rocket league!
Hey Jordan I have a question. I have been suffering with acne on my neck and back since I started highschool and it really hurts my self confidence to the point where i never take off my shirt and I always try and find way to cover my neck. I've been told i'm good looking but this problem makes me feel ugly. I've gone to the dermatologist and he says that the only thing that will work would be accutane but I've heard really bad things about that medicine that makes me not want to take it. So my question is how do I learn to just live with it and not care what people think of me.
Buying a home (or renting): 1) See what the Internet thinks you can afford (Home Affordability Calculator) Having 20% as a down payment really helps here so you do not have to pay "mortgage insurance," essentially a monthly tax for not having 20% equity in your home. 2) Compare this to what you think you can afford (you might have additional costs i.e., daycare, that are not considered in the calculators) 3) Consider you time frame: Buying a home might not be the best choice if you plan on owning it less than 5 years (short time frames cannot ride out market swings) 4) Consider loan rates: rates have been at/near historic lows for years. They are still low, but are now slowly rising (to get a cheaper payment or to be able to buy more house, buy sooner than later, 6-12 months) 5) Consider the current housing market: home have increased in value significantly the past couple years (at least here in California). We MIGHT be coming up on a stall or pullback in the next 2-3 years. It might be small or big. I have a friend who is selling their home, planning on renting the next couple years, then going to buy again after they assume the market drops. I have only a small desire to move into a nicer home, so do not have a desire to do the same plan as him even though we live in the same town. 6) Do you want to be a homeowner (mow the lawn, fix the leak, pay all utilities, hang anything on your walls) or a renter (follow rules, but more is taken care of for you at less cost per issue)?
Hi Jack, Bob, Jerry and Dominic!! I am 23 years old and currently unemployed and living with my parents. I have Epilepsy and have minor seizures 5-8 times a day. I have had jobs in the past but my condition has always been an issue and led to me being either fired or leaving. I was going to college last year. I am going in for surgery to hopefully cure my epilepsy in October so I have had to put my studies on hold. Any advice for not feeling like I’m putting my life on hold waiting for something that might not even cure me (surgery has about a 50/50 shot of working). Also join the discord!
Hey Dorden!!! I have an idea for a book but I'm only 12 and don't really like writing. My mom has thought of writing a book but wants to write one she's more interested in. I also would be writing about young adults and I'm obviously not there yet. I am above average in my reading grade (12th grade as a 6th grader) and I love reading but writing just seems so boring. In case you're wondering it would be about element benders and 'side elements' ( side elements would be like water and ice, fire and lava, air and light/portals, and earth and maybe stone? If you have a better idea for earth feel free to share) Thanks for any advice!
UPDATE: Hey B, Jen, JK, and Dordan. A while ago I asked you guys about what to put on my CV (resume) as I was considering applying for a stage technician job. As you suggested, I went to talk to the teacher that heads that stuff at school and asked for a reference. Instead what ended up happening was, as opposed to applying for a job somewhere, a group of teachers are designing a subject course for myself and another student in my grade focussing on theatre technician work. So while I never actually ended up going for a job, thanks to your advice I now get to do one of my passions as a school subject and all of the tech work I already do can now be justified as it is part of the subject (meaning I can keep on doing it instead of dropping it to focus on school). I can't thank you enough guys, keep up the good work.
guys look at the tool box in Sid's room in Toy Story it says Binford which is the Tool Time company that Tim Allen's character (Tim Taylor) works for in Home Improvement

I think the sponsorship was referencing a previous joke about crockpots, but I'm not sure
For anyone considering buying a house, I highly recommend reading this article: https://affordanything.com/is-renting-better-than-buying-should-i-rent-or-buy/
Love you guys, but episodes with personal finance questions make me cringe a little.
I totally assumed the boat was stuck on a sand bar after getting ripped open by a reef.

8:44 Unless the reason for depression is the mother's death… Naw I'm just joking! Chudley Cannons, Chudley Cannons BOOM BOOM BOOM (we are no pirates)
Anyone else slightly put off by the depression jokes during the sponsor message?
That cook book is the cutest and nicest thing I have ever heard
