11 Gedanken zu „Blizzcon 2018 – WoW Classic – Day 1 Summary“
Aplogies to interrupt your scheduled rare videos but as I've been really busy this week its taking a bit longer than usual to finish off the barrens. With the end of blizzcon day 1 I thought it would be helpful collate some of the information floating around both from blizzard and also what players have found whilst on the Demo. More Rare videos will be coming soon!
Been loving your videos since the first time I saw your thread on the classic wow subreddit. I gotta say though that the main reason Blizzards level of quality in released games has been declining is due to its merge with Activision in 2013. Pretty sure with the new upper management they got, they like rushing things out more rather than polishing them. Personally I would rather have waited until the end of 2019 or start of 2020 and get a product that I am content with than a Summer 2019 release with still some of the problems we saw in the demo(sharding, meeting stone summons, lfr interface, itemization etc.). Of course I am hoping for the best but we have to be realistic, the classic announcement was a year ago and they still have all these major issues, I am not sure they will manage to have all of that fixed by the coming summer.
I wouldn't go as far as saying that releasing the demo was a mistake. (at least not yet) It's just a demo of a game that is being developed in really "different way", with rather than going forward they are going backward. Normally with demo we talk about things that are missing… here we are talking about things that are not yet removed… making it extremely confusing. The important part however is for Blizzard to communicate to players about what they plan to do from point where demo is at right now to the point at which game will be released. And this talk is going to happen at classic panel. (that's why I said at least not yet and we need to wait for the panel to see what developers have to say)… if there is one issue right now, then it's LORE saying that sharding is a necessary thing for Wow… that was the official statement from Blizz… not about demo but about the game that will come out.
While I appreciate you not discussing sharding in the Beta because we don't fully know what it will look like in the released game, they did a community response https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/20769548630#post-15 about it that I think is important for people to be aware of so they can voice concerns or say they do not want sharding in the final game to the devs. Because while nothing is confirmed, the response basically says unless something changes sharding is going to be a necessary evil for at least the launch of the game. Dunno about you guys, but that's not something I want.

Could they not just make a reduced sub price for those who just want classic.
I'd like the minimap to have a real time clock, also do we really need pets and mounts taking up bag space.
There is a classic WoW panel today at Blizzcon I will be watching that closely for sure and hope you will be too 🙂
What is wrong with the demo according to people who've played it? I didn't get a virtual ticket.

Hopefully we'll get more info at the panel today.
Are they gonna make the graphics better?
So basically If I get a sub for one I want I can also play the one I don't care about? Generous. Blizzard is so fucked this day
LOL YOUR A FUCKING CLICKER. YOUR OPINION DOES NOT MATTER
