Ludo could have been such a cool synergy like maybe your default locust becomes the center poiint for your flies and the you can move it around with the fire buttons like regular ludo. That would have made the damage down worth it (to be honest not sure why it removed the ipecac damage though).
What i think would make this charecter a lot more interesting is if he started with the swarm item from tainted treasure rooms because it would fix the issue of the flies being short range and unreliable and, think its one of the worst tainted items in comparison with the origional version.

The reason Ludo removes the 40 dmg down is because i guess its counted as a tear replacement item? Almost every tear replacement item removes the +40 from ipecac (brimstone, technology, moms knife, dr fetus), with the odd exception of c section?
Sadly yes to QOTD: my partner and I were assaulted by homophobes while we were coming home from work. Serious assault – we both ended up in hospital and I had to have surgery. The police mishandled the case too so it wasn't a great experience but the victim support charity where we live was incredible so silver linings (at least a little).
On a lighter note I love how on the early floors sometimes Hollow accidentally looked like it had a floating face when lined up with Bumbo. 🤣
