Did anyone figure out what the anchor does? I activated it and nothing happened. (Sorry if OP covered it, I skimmed through a bit, but it's a long video – looks like he never got on the boat to get the first anchor in world 3.)
You should play that rom hack where Mario has his crank out, and it sticks up when he runs. Classic from my childhood. I liked to only include that version with the normal filename when burning CDs of NES roms for my friends. To this day I know something is wrong with me, but I haven't figured out what exactly it is yet.
This hack takes me back 20 years to the Super Bald Bros trilogy.
16:32 – What if you use the hammer on a cactus near the piranha plant or the fireflower on the map? That might open up a passage for a level (similar to the piranha plant in World 7 of vanilla) which in return triggers a bridge over the water for Level 1-7 … it's just an idea.
