  1. The phenomenons in TotK are the worst part by far. Each one is busy work consisting of just talking to one guy that needs a thing so you get the thing and then the thing needs a thing so it can do the thing. Definitely the lowest point for me.

  2. i did the bird storm and volcano phenomenons in zeldoor and was kinda done. but to be fair, i spent dozens of hours just messing around and doing side quests. i kinda had my fill of the game before i thought "oh, i should do the actual story and finish this". after two phenomenon things i had had too much of zeldoors too. it'll be like botw for me where i did all the stuff and didn't revisit it til like 2 years later to finally finish it.

  3. Would games like rdr2 and cyberpunk count as 2 disc's because they have an install disc? Will you get half way through ff7 part 2 and have to swap discs like the dark ages!?

  4. I am very excited for the new Prince of Persia game. I remember first playing it (this is going to age me) on the Commodore 64. I played the first and second one, and yes even 3D which did suck, and then played Sands of Time.

  5. The disc thing is so weird, but on the other hand I’m glad they just didn’t give you one disc and a huge download, as that’s awful for game preservation. The last Final Fantasy I remember having multiple discs was 13 (probably wrong, but that was the last I played that had that) and that was Xbox 360 only, PS3 just had one 😂

  6. When I talked to a developer, he said the gunplay would be a bit better than than Fallout 4 but didn't indicate that it would be much better than that- so if anyone from id did provide support for the project, it either wasn't anything major or they just weren't able to implement it. He also said that energy weapon would feel a little floaty since they don't have recoil.

EDIT: I talked with them again, and yeah id didn't help with the shooting

  7. Proton is way ahead of mac's compatibility layer, but the m series of processors are incredible so eventually it could be better than Linux gaming. The thing is valve and Linux gamers want games way more than apple and people who buy apple products. Unless apple makes a Mac deck I don't see them making more games compatible than proton for a long time.

  8. xDefiant is similar to COD because Mark Rubin (former COD dev) is making the game. XDefiant will have a strong focus on the arcade shooter aspect of COD instead of crap like Warzone/DMZ. MW2 shipped in a good state for 6v6 multiplayer, but Call of Duty seems to not care about it anymore. Many people in the COD community are disappointed with how they've handled multiplayer, which is why we are hoping XDefiant will fill that void.

  9. Random thing on the hallway discussion – history student here, hallways are a relatively new invention. Back in the day (like 1600s), hallways weren’t a thing. No point having a room with no real purpose, each room was important. You just put the rooms in an order where it doesn’t matter if you have to walk through one into another 😂

  10. Thank you wulff bros! I'll be adding this episode to the citations for why a hallway is NOT a room. Their semantic arguments and other assertions like how some hallways can have furniture and room type things never held up to me.

  12. In a communications class I took last semester, I had to do a mock interview with a classmate. I asked her questions from a list provided by my professor, and at the end I ask her if there's anything else I should know. Out of all the important information she could've told me, she responded with, "My favorite movie of all time is James Cameron's Avatar." I think she is the reason why the Avatar movies do insanely well at the box office.

  13. Are either of you interested in trying the FF XVI Demo? I know yall aren't the biggest fans of JRPGs, but this is truly something different imo. Fits western audiences better and I think Wulff likes games like DMC/Beyo iirc.
