If you want to slow down your internet and you're connected to the router by a wire and using a Windows device:
1) Open the Device Manager
2) Uncollapse the 'Network Adapters' dropdown menu
3) Right click on the one that is the ethernet connection, it won't have 'wireless' in its name
4) Click the Properties and go to the Advanced tab
5) Locate the 'Speed & Duplex' option and click on it
6) There'll be a dropdown menu for what speeds it can be set to, note that Full Duplex is faster than Half Duplex
There's probably a way to do it with wireless NICs, but I don't know how to do that.
Finally
Could use a tool that slows down your personal internet on your computer, like a software based lag switch. There's tons of free ones for games like CoD and other games you can find pretty easily. I used to do a similar glitch that required internet lagging software. Combined it with a VPN and torrent downloading, I was able to do something similar nearly every attempt. You can also throttle your internet speed on specific devices through your router settings

no way i used to play mv factions and the server is literally so bad. when i played they had seasonal weapons and you could put them in a vault to take to the next season but at one point some vaults were cleared and no one got their stuff back. also one of the staff literally doxxed a player ☠️
