L4D2 was an absolute dissapointment considering how fast it came out since L4D. It was also less optimized, and looked way less scary. Def an L, L4D = W
And Back for Blood manages to be worse than both
Warface is utter dogshit compared to l4d lol. Also, your wrong in so many ways. These few features don’t completely make or break the game, these are just minor details that your whining over.
I have always said I prefer L4D1 over L4D2. The atmosphere alone is truly a beauty in L4D1
I remember the days in L4D1 before they patched it where you could infinitely melee by using a combo. Then they added that stamina cap so you could only melee push every so often.
Also L4D1 I will always love more because you can play with the bots solo and feel like it’s a complete game. L4D2 has more content and everything but it never felt like the same game I wanted. It felt goofy and more joking. I wanted the L4D1 I saw from the beta footage.
I am 100% certain they disabled cheats in L4D2 because in 1 you could write sv_cheats 1;noclip;sv_cheats 2 and hit enter, as long as it was all on one line it would not disable achievements and you could cheese everything in the game except in Versus mode.
They never fixed it and you can still do it to this day in 2023, super easy way to get golds on every survival map, just afk outside the map for an hour.
Everything in L4D2 has to be achieved legit so yeah.
Honestly I dnno if that’s why it they disabled cheats in 2 because it is a pretty well hidden secret no one seemed to know about. Kind of like getting Seriously… achiev through a glitch in GoW1 in ranked MP matches.

Left 4 Dead 1 made the player experience true fear, it wasn't just about killing zombies, it wasn't about escaping the hellhole you were put into, rather it was about SURVIVING the hellhole you were put into.
