As a lower rank player I can confirm I don't get time with the ball bc the best I can get is one touch before my teammate bangs it into the corner away from me

He’s not wrong, but I have success when I try to imagine where my teammate is coming from, and just get out of their way. I’ve been hit by teammates a lot who are circling around with ball cam on, so they can’t see me. They don’t have a shot, they can only tip the ball away from a teammate.
TL;DR If you don’t have a good shot, trust your teammates and get out da way, as Drake says.
