In Gen 8, I played in a tournament that required you to run Pokemon with 0.5% usage on Pikalytics, and I got second with Own Tempo Avalugg and Swagger Morgrim under Trick Room. It was actually disgusting.
I know that this is a gimmick set, but I've been experimenting with Tera Poison Weakness Policy Avalugg-Hisui with Bulldoze + Helping Hand support (I use Room Service Wyrdeer, but you can use something else) and I have had some fun with it.
"Alright, we've been given a new Avalugg form, what are it's stats gonna be like?" "We're gonna take 10 Sp. Attack and put it in Attack." "Okay, sounds good! Go on." "And we're gonna take 10 Sp. Defense. " "And what are you gonna do with that Sp. Def?" "Put it in Speed." "…Not needed, but alright." "And we're gonna take away Oblivious for Strong Jaw." "Gonna give it more fang moves other than Ice Fang and Crunch, right?" "NOPE! Don't feel like it!" "…you don't like this mon, do y-" "And we're gonna make it Ice/Rock." "STOP! He's already ass!"
I wanna see you talk about regidrago and see if you find the set I'm working with that somehow just keeps winning. It's actually a hilarious set and I absolutely adore the pokemon now lmao
I actually think regular Avalugg is better, I've run it with max SpDf and AV and it manages to take some hits and almost OHKO Amoongus with ice spiner with no attack investment
I don’t understand why gamefreak doesn’t give ice types more resistances… i appreciate the defense buff in snow but ice types need a resistance buff, main one being water. For other options i suggest normal, ghost, flying
First lmao
Simple Guide:
Leave it in your PC Box and don't take it out
How to use Avalugg-Hisui: Tera Flying
edit: it has come to my attention that amonguss exists
based pokemon ngl
Hisuian Braviary next.
When will it be our day, Avalugg enjoyers?
I think that Alolan Persian would be cool to see next if you’re doing those

How bad was Avalugg actually?>
How would I buff this poor creature: mountain gale sets up sandstorm if defense>spdef or snow if spdef>defense.
For every Triple Arrows and Dire Claw, we have a Shelter and Mountain Gale.

Galarian Zapdos!!!
Oh?
It's a shame Mountain Gale isn't a wind move. It could've worked alright maybe with Scarf next to Brambleghast since it hits everyone on the field
if you invest in fully into spD and manage to setup sand it can actually take a special hit not good but eh
