rudy maybe right, but his lobster pets are never right unlike your crab pets are always right
People arent buying because WoTC proved to everyone that profit means more than the sanctity of the Reserve List. Why buy vintage when you can buy WoTC proxy versions or make your own? Magic 30 IS the beginning of the end in terms of people wanting to collect and invest in vintage and reserve list items.
Rudy just LOOKS like a scumbag. That’s the first thing that comes to mind when I see his face.
Yes more content like this!!
I think you're underestimating the stupidity of rich people and what they want in their office. Why would somebody spend a million dollars on a baseball card?
First, great video! To the post… I just lost trust in Wotc after 30th, not because they flooded the market with it but because there is no telling where they will draw the line. With no events, proxies are pretty much legal so no real demand for vintage. At least that's how I feel.
I think it will all come back. Not anytime soon though. The free money from covid created a bubble and the bubble is popping. It is going to take time to recover. That being said the Government is going to have to print a metric ton of money to bail us out of out debt and deficit issues, so having a little exposure to collectibles is not a terrible idea. Never go heavy into collectibles tho, no more that 1%-2% of you net worth. If you have a negative net worth get out of debt first.
I think prices will return to pre-COVID era because markets always return to equilibrium. No demand for these expensive vintage boxes, except for the very small group of big wallet collectors that come once in a while.
That's why i do Pokemon. Pretty consistent and even the worst sets go up eventually (steam siege)
You can’t discredit magic 30. The reserve list had meaning to me and others as a collector/investor. To me they reprinted it. Mark rosewater said they would never even do that. So to me that company has the least integrity out of any tcg. A lot of people said the day the game is dead they will reprint it. So this company is super desperate. If it would have went great for them what would they have made 25-100 million. Is that profit really worth your 30 years of integrity. Then card quality is bad. I will buy another company that cares about my money enough to not give me bent cards. Power creep is insane now a days every set there is shake ups to almost all formats. I don’t care who pumps magic crap this game is being killed. Could anyone actually see this game going back to core 19 when foil pull rates weren’t increasing and a foil was special. Now everyone wants non foils and your lucky it those are flat.
