Bro it’s so funny that luke is trying to make his viewers cope about being bad by saying they don’t need mechanics or practice air roll 💀 Bro thinks you don’t need to practice stuff to be good
It’s like Luke said doing aerials with air roll helps a bit with the “throwing off of players” aspect would say but I mean I as far as the physics go you can do everything not air rolling as you can while air rolling so I mean there isn’t much difference really other then the throwing off aspect and maybe a little harder touch… idk I agree with Luke lol
Air roll is useful because like, say you're air dribbling and the ball goes a bit out of control. If you're already spinning it's easier to turn your car the other way on a dime.
It definitely does do something. It makes your air dribbling easier to control and allows you to aim. Yes you dont need it for an air dribble but it definitely helps. It can also help keep your touch from going to far in front of your car. The whole point of air rolling during a shot is to allow for better aiming and control.
This is such a silly bandwagon people jump on, all pros use tons of air roll it is the meta. Slice the cake however you want but the best players in the world use air roll and you probably should too.
Spinning into a touch on the ball DOES indeed make your touch have a bit more power, which is why you see most people stop spinning right before I touch so they don't push it away if they don't need to get it around someone or wanna keep it close.
For me, I can get much better touches and make small adjustments easier when air rolling. It’s definitely slower, but when you have that little extra time is when air roll comes in handy
Pros be saying this as if they're trying to gate keep the noobs from being good at aerials honestly😅no offence but duh you can't dribble without air role
Air roll helps with ball/car stability, and allows softer touches on the ball. It also allows gyroscopic stability.
But in the example where you said you won't use air roll you used air roll

I think I seen musty or someone like that doing myths and air roll made the car faster in some way or something like that
not pro so idc
No whenever I air roll the car actually touches the ball harder than without air roll
I have a question should i boom the ball when my opponent is close to me but take control when he is far away
Hahahah he is wrong
The first thing you did after saying "without any air roll" was air roll left so you were level with the field.
I use airroll to do crazy angles if I jump the the ball changes direction I airroll to fade sideways I've landed some nutty shots
look stop telling people shitty tips
I feel like it helps with keeping up with the ball, alignment, control
Air rolling makes it so touches on the ball don’t affect your car

Air roll gives me better control on the ball

this video could not be more wrong

Me seeing this after spending countless hours to master air roll: still worth it

how about shooting?
Tap air roll then flip
alot of power huh
the other thing is predictability. it’s a lot harder to tell where someones next touch is going when they’re spinning around the ball vs a direct line
I swear air rolling makes your first touch faster there’s no way I’m tripping
