Finally it's nice seeing him get the credit he deserves I run mine banded with Aqua Jet/Raging Bull/Wave Crash/ and Close Combat it outspeeds a lot of the meta game and can completely chunk pretty much everything with Tera Water

I just finished breeding a perfect iv and nature one to run with assault vest on for my tailwind team, it way overperformed when I tried it out for a few dozen games on showdown ladder, hopefully it will do the same next vgc season for me too
I’ve been finding a fair amount of success with Tera Steel Paldean-Tauros (Water) using Anger Point and Meowscarada. It’s a predictable strategy and good opponents mean you can’t just lead off with it in turn 1. However, it’s often very good with Rock Slide and maxed out attack as a late game sweeper. That said, Unaware Dondozo is a huge huge issue and means Tauros need support in the back to deal with it.

So, I knew from day 1 that this Pokemon was good. Decent typing, good move pool, decent stats, one of the best abilities in VGC. I never really understood why the internet seemed to be so low on it.
I'm ready to see Glimmora pop off tbh. It has insane move coverage, 130 SPAtk, works well under TR and TW. Can take good advantage of tera grass with energy ball, this roughly 2HKOs boosted nontera dondozo. Even if the dondozo teras it can cover for every singular popular option for super effective other than dragon with access to earth power and power gem. Great assault vest user.
Scrappy Flamigo is a surprisingly good anti-meta pick. With a Choice Scarf, you can just click CC to outspeed and pick up guaranteed OHKOs on Gholdengo, Hydreigon, Meowscarada, Maushold, Tyranitar, Kingambit, and Baxcalibur, with a chance to OHKO Amoonguss with Brave Bird. It also can't be Intimidated because of Scrappy, so the threat is hard to deal with.

Bro, Paldean Tauros is so good. Imma Paldean Tauros believer. When paired next to Stonjourner, it's a bulldozer. Power Spot along with Choice Band on any of its moves is very powerful. Stonjourner is a hidden gem. I believe it'll be amazing this Gen. I think of it like a bulkier(physically) slower Chien-Pao. But instead of lowering everyone's Defense (ally included), you only boost your ally's attacks. Free Life Orb boost + Rock Slide Flinches + Imprison/Protect/Wide Guard shenanigans is great.
I prefer the fire but water makes sense with tera fire

With its speed tier and low special attack its also a good mon to use surf to proc weakness policy.
Can you build a screens team with Skeledirge, Amoongus, Grimmsnarl and maybe Annihilape if it fits? I'm newish to VGC and a defensive style is the one i have enjoyed the most. I was using your skeldirge build to burn things. Amoongus for pollen puff and redirection and obviously grimm for screens. Just having trouble putting it all together.

QOTD:coincidentally I think Tauros fire is amazing, I've been running a Cud Chew Set, eved to live a Tera Garchomp Earthquake, burn it, protect get 2nd pinch berry and live another one, the speed to outrun Modest Hydra and Timid Gholden and tera grass to 1v1 water types

Tauros has been everywhere in San Diego on stream, I lowkey love the Renaissance it's having. I wasn't a competitive player back in Gen 1 when it dominated everything
as a pure fighting tauros tamer I'm glad to see tauros getting use. While water and fire tauros are better than the pure fighting tauros, I'll still main the pure fighting tauros.
