I know this is unrelated but switching from Octane to Dominus made me instantly improve. I used to only challenge for the ball by going up. Now with the flat sides of the Dominus, I can actually score while doing an aerial.
I love your coaching videos but I think this is such a terrible play on your part. You should’ve just gotten pads and been a part of the play in the first place. I think people who play like this end up giving up goals or end up not scoring goals because of this. Pads are enough to save goals and score goals. Simple as that.

Jumping to get boost expands the hotbox or something, if you're racing for boost jump and you should win it.
That happens to me al the time. I swear i beat an opponent to the boost and somehow they come away with it.
