  1. I got this the first time I saw Mitch play it. Managed to get up to around 2-8 IIRC, but dude, 1-1 was a beast of a level for me. Grinding for a couple of hours with maybe 3 smoke breaks before I managed to beat it, but I got through World 1 within about an hour after that. I don't remember what snagged me up in World 2 because it was a while ago; maybe I shall revisit it? Probably have a save state on my Everdrive. ✌💗🤘

  2. Having grown up on SMB3 since its debut in the arcades in the summer of '89, I've never heard Kuribo's Shoe referred to any other way. Who calls the Kuribo's Shoe, "Goomba's Shoe" anyway?

  3. hey Mitch just an fyi when using the youtube player in a browser you can use period . and comma , to go back and forth in a video by a single frame when you want to review something frame by frame 🎞️👀

  4. This hack is perfect. It’s tough, but there’s not cheap, didn’t seem like there were any Kaizo traps, and the short length of most levels meant you’re rewarded for pulling off a 1 in 10 maneuver without having to do like 5 more 1 in 10 maneuvers in the same level. Plus the subtle programming changes, like I don’t believe the rotodisk and boom boom would mesh together on the same screen on vanilla Smb3…he had to edit that. And the instant death blocks obviously are an ASM hack. I want to play this and try to beat without savestates. Thanks Mitch for the great commentary!
