The lack of a file browser was a big gripe for me. Looking forward to checking it out when I get my PC though. It's fun on a Series X but I want the frames of a PC
This is pretty much just a multiplayer review. I didn't gain an understanding of the games at all, only your opinion in each games multiplayer. As someone who doesn't give a damn about MP, this 'review' was not useful at all
Buying it tonight. Mostly to relive the story I loved growing up. I still remember playing Halo CE on launch day the first time I ever saw an xbox. I think I was in middle school, but me and my friend stayed up all night playing it. another fond memory was beating halo 3 on legendary in one sitting with a friend on xbox live when I was living in Japan. Halo was a big part of my life. I spent the most time on Halo 3 and was actually really competitive online. I had top kills like 95% of the games I played.
Speaking as someone who was unenthusiastic after the launch of Reach for PC: the game dropped so quickly for people like me because of a few factors: The movement (something to do with crouching and moving) didn't feel fine-tuned. Bloom. Every. Single. Map. Spawned you in with DMR's and when everyone is using M&K it's not fun anymore to start getting shot from across the map the second you spawn. Last, 343 injected their halo 4 maps into Reach which NO ONE asked for!? Like the maps I was forced to play on were so awful, and combined with constant DMR spam from every corner of the map this game quickly became frustrating. I'm currently reinstalling the game with hopes that these things have been addressed by I can't expect much.
I just recently got it on steam since it just got on sale. And maaaaan did i really miss playing halo. I'm still trying to get used to the mouse and keyboard to play it but I'll sort through it.
It’s actually really solid an feels almost comparable to apex in how fluid movement and switching weapons ..on a good pc that is I’m not speaking for everyone else
Honestly curious. Does it actually help drive clicks when you talk about subbing and liling at the beginning of the video? So many creators do it and you hear a lot of complaints from watchers about it so it seems possibly counter productive, but idk what the metrics show. It is kinda annoying but I'm all for it if it helps small creators. I loathe it on videos where the creator already has millions and millions of subs. That is annoying. Good content dude. Love me some Halo and it's nice not to have to have an xbox. I do kinda hate that you have to play with a mouse and keyboard to be at your best and I MUCH prefer controller for halo as it is just so much smoother to access all your tools quickly and fluidly. I haven't logged in in awhile but I think I may now that they have input based matchmaking. Hopefully can get some games. Idk why people drop off Halo completely. It is easily, imo, the finest competitive fps ever made and utterly shi*s one anything around today in terms of skill gap and cooperative tactical gameplay. No other game his such a high ttk where you can really get into some awesome back and forth gunfights. I hate twitch shooters where all you have to do is see someone first and land a headshot. It's boring, and takes very little skill or consistant accuracy. Also, there are no duels, it's literally just see someone and land a shot… they die. If you get shot first, 99% of the time you die because turning around a fight is practically impossible. In Halo you got great grenades that do perfect damage, all sorts of movement/strafing and jumping tricks and power weapons. It's just so much more fun.
Thoughts on this long format review video? Should I do more video like this?
Does anyone knows if the MCC Microsoft store version requires Xbox live?
I just want to play campaign

When are modding tools coming?

😱 This year is the 20th anniversary to Halo CE on November 15, 2021 (released on November 15, 2001) 20 years of Halo 🤯

I remember all the problems that plagued this game at launch. So happy it’s getting the care it deserves
The steam summer sale just started yesterday and I really don’t know whether I want to buy the entire master chief collection or only halo 3
You didnt talk about the missing co-op splitscreen
I keep thinking of buying it but I am holding out for split screen being officially added.
