35 Gedanken zu „ClassiCast #20 | Concerns with Classic's Proposed Content Release Schedule“
  1. Hey guys! On this ClassiCast, we delve into a topic that we've touched on since BlizzCon but felt like haven't really done our due diligence in terms of going in on it. We're worried that 4 phases of content release is not going to be enough to give WoW Classic a healthy release timeline and really is not going to be a good scenario for anyone. I'm hoping we can give good feedback that it should be at least 6-7 phases of content release for the release of the game! How do you guys feel Blizzard should approach this?

Also, we will be moving to doing ClassiCast every couple of weeks for the next few episodes after Christmas and as Classic News starts to ramp up we'll be doing the show more regularly. Thanks!

  2. Not all change leads to LFR.
Vanilla was so flawed, this is because the devs were new and largely clueless.
These flaws are viewed as awesome hardcore mechanics by no changers.
So many things could be added, that would remove nothing from the challenge, grind and feel of classic.

  3. I understand "the passion", but guys you are a little bit over the top with some things. Yes. It's good to give constructive feedback. But. Even let them push like this first phase of Wow Classic give them chance to learn from mistakes (yea I know sounds silly). Worst episode to date. Why? Oh come. 3 guys agreeing on absolutely everything. Got bored after 30 minutes. Spice it up guys!

  4. Classicast is so interesting. One guy provides 75% of the content, one 20% and the last guy 5% and 100% of those last 5% is either "Yeah, what he said" aka "I have to say something even though I add nothing of value".

  5. think about it, the world record for a solo 60 run is 4 days and 21 hrs as a hunter, any one playing classic for the first time and decides to play hunter will probably get 10-12 days played as the best lvling race in the game, and now think about playing a warrior or a priest or even a paladin, all the deaths and slow grinding being unexperienced most deffs will be downloading a questie addon all the fk around you will be doing in game cause you will deffs hit a wall if your playing any tier three lvling classes, my prediction you will have atleast 20+ days played before you hit 60 so thats going to take you a good 6+ months if you do decide to play 4 hrs a day every day lol and i guarantee most people wont have saved for a lvl 40 mount if your new to the game as well

  6. As a relatively new WoW player (started playing late MoP) I'm super keen to play classic…but I agree with a lot of the points raised here. Most (if not all) new players will be entirely lost at launch and all the vanilla veterans will rocket to end game months before we do, which will severely impact any enthusiasm for the non-hardcore players. Casual players like myself will inevitably be left behind and you'll see a huge skill gap between "us and them"…which is disappointing given the buzz surrounding Classic.

  7. I agree with pretty much everything you guys have to say in regards to timeline. However, you're all super biased against ranking. Esfand was the voice of reason – saying pvp rewards need to be introduced at a time where ranking isn't disincentivized. I've played with most of you, we know you aren't serious rankers. Staysafe worrying about guilds going into BWL stacking r14 warriors is hilarious, I can think of 2 guilds in the world right now that would. Certainly not Staysafe's guild. So why worry about trivialized content for .001% of players if it involves that much effort?

I hope this isn't some self-serving bias as streamers (who haven't ranked) to need ranking to be less relevant, so you don't feel compelled to do so.

  8. I'm not worried about the 'experts' hitting stuff fast; the rest of the dedicated fanbase will catch up, and if there's fresh servers started, you'll have more 'experts' and potentially more newstarts. Things will even out.

  9. I disagree, if you put everything all out at once. Just by the nature of gearing the guild up, you would probably progress at the same time frame as breaking it up. Gotta think you need 7 geared tanks with the bwl shield. Which has a low drop rate, not to mention the need for Thunderfury so tanks can hold agro in aq and naxx

  10. Honestly when you hit 60 you still won't see a world boss alive. 90% here do not realize how accurate and precise even little private server top guilds are when it comes to tracking these spawns. The dedication of sitting stealthed near a spawn point in rotating player shifts just to report it to some faction coalition + having shard stocked warlocks logged out at spots to mass summon is something any casual guild can hardly hope to achieve for a boss kill.

  11. Sorry but, the magic of Wow classic was that we did not know anything. We were exploring and discovering and it was immersive. We did not look at each others gear level nor did we know the particulars about boss fights we just grouped up with our friends for dangerous challenges and it was a blast. It was the shared laughs and jokes. The whole focus on gear, gold and stats and game mechanics takes away from the immersion and play.

  12. They should just tune the bosses harder, we know way more, our computers are way better, players are way better you won't have to carry ten bad players this time around. Crank it up. Also randomize all spawns of important things.
