Problem is, this doesn’t really work well below GC because most of the time, your teammate won’t be in position for the pass and you won’t be able score as often as if you just put a decently well placed power shot. Plus there’s a good chance both with go for the ball and probably not get a good clear, then they’re out of position and either you or your teammate has an open net. So usually, unless I’m on comms, I get more goals from just putting a shot on net than hitting it off the backboard, because if I can’t communicate with my teammate, and they’re in the corner getting boost for some reason, that would probably give them a decent chance for a counter attack.

That doesn’t work in a lot of ranks then I ask my teammates why they didn’t keep the pressure and potentially score “yeah we were rushing so after the rush I went back to our goal” NO
