Ok this is just bad advice if he didn’t jump as soon as he did then the defenders would have played differently such as the guy at the back post would have jumped sooner knowing he could beat him to the ball since he isn’t even in the air yet I feel like he could have waited a little longer before jumping but I don’t see a problem with this play he was fast and precise and put pressure on the defenders
All things in the game are situational on what your opponent is doing.
The only time I ever take off early is to meet the ball at a higher point so it’s harder to save

Yeah that’s all swell until you either: get bumped by the guy to the left of you, hit the crossbar because you were slightly under the ball or shoot directly at the guy in net so he saves
