This melody will always bring
You right back home
13:53 According to all known laws of aviation, you wouldn't expect raocow to make a Bee Movie reference
But he does it anyway
That token in Fire Island is easier if you just pretend the right side doesn't exist and just go up with the flames, gliding all the way. Took me a few tries too
I was kinda hoping our golem friend would come back for this part.
Did the Merchant not have text for the boss?

I remember this level's music being used in the trailer, so getting to this point and finally getting to hear it had felt pretty great.
I wonder if you could have used your socks on the quicksand.
So are you saving up 2k time shards to buy one of the boss toys from the money sink first? I would've thought you'd go for one of the smaller purchases first to see if anything comes of it, though I've never played this game, so maybe it's just because I'm curious too! I assume it must just be pointless collectibles, but you never know!
✉of the day: [🔶📈⏫] (This stage give a ton of time crystals!)
Don't forget the time sink for toys!
Hmm, in this episode, the Monk reveals that her time traveling Messenger power is to go back in time, as opposed to our Ninja's ability to go forward in time. Back in the Turquoise River, it was mentioned that a Messenger purified the region between the NES and Genesis eras, causing the Ninja to point out that there has to have been a Messenger between him and the Soldier. The Shopkeeper blows him off, but at the end of the area we learn this Messenger was the Monk which adds up with what we learn here.
So despite the Monk being introduced as a previous Messenger, from a linear time perspective, she's actually a Messenger between the Ninja and the Soldier, just that she got sent Back in time after the Tower of Time instead of forward.
My head hurts.
This area has cool Manfred action so it's OK.
Death count: 97 (13 today)
Power Seals smashed: 43 (3 today)
Flawless victory count: 1, Clockwork Concierge.
(1:37) Oh, hi there, other Messenger.
(2:07) Well, there's your "fire magic". 😛
(2:55) Alright, let's free Manfred!
(4:05) This game is now part of All the R-Types, and therefore NakaTeleeli is hereby obligated to play it. 😛
(5:05) In an interesting twist, the Messenger is describing this area to the shopkeeper.
(7:39) 41 Power Seals smashed, 4 to go. You're over 90% done!
(10:32) Whoops, there's today's first death.
(14:02) Who wants pancakes?
(14:24) Yeah, it would be nice if the moving blocks were more forgiving, but that would ruin the intended challenge here, right?
(14:31) There you go. Nice.
(14:41) 42 Power Seals smashed, 3 to go.
(17:24) L-L-L-L-LUDICROUS KILL!!
(18:42) Mario Party announcer: "MISS!"
(19:35) Darn, too bad the Rope Dart doesn't help with Cloudstepping off those fireballs.
(20:34) Shoot! You were so close, too…
(20:42) Death by lethal damage that time.
(20:52) Thanks again for your tally, Quarble. Good to know my count is still accurate.
(21:12) Start of the winning run of that one room.
(21:25) 43 Power seals smashed, 2 to go.
(22:34) You walked right past those two lamps without slashing them. And, maybe you should've spoken to the shopkeeper, since this looks like a pre-boss room setup.
(22:53) Yep, it's boss time! Too bad we will never know what the shopkeeper would've had to say about the boss here.
(22:57) Is that a giant robotic Uncle Pennybags? 😛
(23:24) And suddenly you switch from shmup mode to platformer mode so you can hack at the guy's weak spot. Neat.
(23:38) Greetings, face haver! 😛
(24:42) Flawless victory! Wow, I think that's your first flawless of this game!
(25:24) ♪
(25:48) Key of Symbiosis get!
(26:50) "Well, that happened."
(27:01) Heh, Manfred is encouraging replay value.
I don't know if I ever got that power seal, but I think I spent like a half hour failing.
The dragon shmup part reminded me of raocows Robo Dino That Shoot Beams When They Roar video. Which is apparently from 13 years ago….
This was such a cool part of the game, it just feels so epic to storm the different islands with dragon buddy.
The shmup bit somehow shook a memory loose- you, Rao, were my introduction to Warning Forever way back in the day. I need to hunt down a download for that and play it again.
4:06 I've shmupped with a dragon quite recently; but it wasn't this long.
Shmup part looks like a better Robot Dinosaurs That Shoot Beams When They RAWR
You have a lot of money now. Why not buy some new stuff in the money sink shop?
Yeah, the Fire Skyland coin is the nastiest one in the game to get, because sometimes that topmost demon doesn't fire off. Only the first Turquoise coin comes close to the kind of fury the Fire coin gave me. As for your progress – it is almost cleanup time. Your path is becoming very linear once again. I hope you have good memories of the focused time.
That boos music… anyone else get Banjo-Kazooie vipes from it?
