A funny anecdote about the other mon, Tatsugiri: in both Doubles and Singles it runs the ability "Commander".
In doubles, of course, because of the Dondozo-Tatsu combo, in singles because you don't want it to get walled by Gardevoir in RU (Gardevoir can trace the other ability Storm Drain and become immune to both Tatsugiri's STABs)
And that's what I like about Dozo, it's good in both formats but for very different reasons, plus it's very good but not >50% usage either, so you don't end up with a Lando-T situation again (it's not that I hate it but damn, as someone who is invested in both formats I think I have started seeing Landorus in my dreams)
I know a lot of mons have different sets for singles and doubles but Dondozo feels like it was made with both formats in mind from the core of its development. I’d love to see this more
Shiny Tatsugiri in comp is EXTREMELY OP bc not many people know which shiny is which tatsugiri, leading to them not being able to predict the Order Up effects!

they should have both BSS and VGC in competitive pokemon, because it's 2 completely different games
Now in doubles when the stats go up i decide my Murkrow shall be using Haze today.
