How can I tell if I should buy the v1 or v2 mod chip?

I would learn how to solder really well before attempting this also I would get a clear back Plate so you can see the mod chip also you want to organize your screw because if you dont and you put the screws in the wrong spot your device could be f**ked, if you want to start out mod chipping I would start with the ps1 it's to easy also attempting to take off the nitendo switch controller and putting it back together is hard so I would not modify the controllers unless you want to chance a headache and 70$ wasted because you broke the controllers on a accident

Does v2 core work on v1 patched switch
Removing the shield is the easy part. The hard part is soldering to the emunand. I did a switch lite the points were another more smaller.

The best advice anyone can give if you've been soldering for awhile is use a different tip. Don't use conical tips.

I've an original SX Core chip from years ago that I never got around to installing, but things seem to have changed a lot and the old tutorials are out of date now by the looks of it.
